The following describes the nature of the role:
- Provide legal counsel and support to business operations on a global basis.
- Drafting, Review, and leading negotiations of a variety of high value IT global outsourcing contracts with customers around the world. Identify the risks in any contract and liaise with internal business teams
- Contract Risk Management including monitoring compliance of the contracts
- Identify non-compliance issues, provide implications, suggest available courses of action and support their resolution.
- Strong business and organizational skills are required and the ability to multi-task with operational and finance teams on various aspects of contracting including strategizing and management of litigious issues.
- Provide general legal awareness training to various business teams
- Drafting, reviewing contracts/ agreements with global vendors and service providers for identifying and reducing legal risks.
- Interacting with business teams and negotiating with customers to conclude vendor contracts/ agreements.
The ideal candidate must:
- be an L.L.B./L.L.M from an top law school with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
- preferably have an understanding of the IT industry, knowledge of service agreements, software license agreements, hardware procurement agreements, IT outsourcing agreements and related transactional documents
- be confident, dynamic and have a pro-active disposition
- have effective drafting and communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English
- have the ability to effectively work with internal clients/external customers
- have excellent analytical, and interpersonal skills with professionalism to motivate and supervise others
- have strong business acumen, ethics and high integrity
