We are hiring VP Sales(APAC region) for big data and analytics startup. The firm was established in April 2011 by IIIT-Bangalore alumni and were also a part of the TLabs(Times Internet - accelerated program) 1st batch. The company is ranked among top 30 emerging tech start-ups in India.

It is an emerging technology company that provides actionable analytics to businesses using publicly available data on the Web. Their technology platform aggregates, organizes and analyzes millions of unstructured data points across multiple data sources and provides access to these insights through dashboards, reports, visualizations and APIs.

To put simply, the company has multiple products related to collecting and analysing publicly available data to help companies make better decisions across industries.

Their in-house product provides Competitive Intelligence for eRetailers, brands, and manufacturers.

They are working with all retail and eCommerce clients in India, they have clients in NA, SE Asia and Middle east as well. Some of their clients- Rediff, Indiatimes Shopping, Puma, eBay, Jabong, Paytm, Freecharge.

Position : VP Sales

Reports to : President

Location: Bangalore

Job Description:-

The VP Sales of APAC will be responsible for setting and achieving the overall revenue, growth and market share goals for the APAC region.

As the VP of APAC sales you will be responsible for the following:

1. Develop & execute sales plan to achieve revenue and growth goals for the region

2. Plan, hire, train and grow the right people talent within your team

3. Establish the right sales processes & foundations for sustained revenue growth

4. Develop strong cross-functional relationships with other teams

5. Contribute to the overall intellectual horsepower of the company

This position directly reports to the President of the company

Role Responsibilities

- Understand the company's solution offerings and map them to the right market/ segments

- Assess current wins/ losses, pipeline and figure out strategies to grow from them

- Evaluate headcount requirements & map current team to talent expectations

- Execute every month for revenue gains and design wins

- Set up processes for accurate forecasting, assessing competition, right sales tools to use etc.

- Work with other teams like delivery, product group etc. to meet & exceed customer expectations

- Be the conduit for market & competitive feedback & suggestions for product improvements

- Be a leader and contribute to leadership thinking in the co.

Requirements:

- 12+ years experience with at least 4 years in a sales leadership role in an IT company

- Successful track record exceeding revenue and share goals consistently

- Good background in at least one - selling Big Data & Analytics solutions and/ or selling tech solutions into Retail & CPG industry. Combination of both will be an ideal candidate

- Solution selling experience in a products company

- Exposure to selling in APAC region preferred

- Candidate should be willing to travel within India as well as in APAC region for developing & closing business

Preferences

- Previous experience selling in a startup

- Some technical background is nice to have

Looking for candidates from top tier B-Schools who have excellent communication skills.
