VP - Legal - Trading & Exports

We have been entrusted to select the Head of Legal for an MNC into extensive international trading and exports. The Company has wholly own subsidiaries in multiple countries globally and a couple of joint venture companies as well.

Specific responsibilities of Head of Legal shall be:

- Entire gamut of legal functions for the company

- Drafting, vetting and negotiations of financial documentation

- To liaise with external counsels, solicitors and consultants in India and abroad in connection with legal/court/arbitration matters and follow up and keep track of all the court cases

- Drafting of agency agreements, marketing representative agreements, joint venture partner agreements, franchise agreements, settlement deeds, etc

- To help operations people in negotiating, structuring and finalizing international and domestic transactions in minerals and coal

- Negotiating and structuring deals and finalizing Sale-Purchase contracts

- Mergers and Amalgamations, legal and secretarial due diligence

- Registration of Trade Marks and Patents and litigation concerning Trade Marks

- Initiate Domestic and international court/arbitration proceedings for recovery or breach of contracts against vendors/customers

- The aspirant should be an astute and focused legal professional with consistent achievements while serving in corporate and professional legal functions. Should be recognized for strong team leadership. Professionally aggressive in pursuit of company goals and delivering impressive results. Extensive exposure to legalities involved in International trade /export/import.

- Experience in Shipping/Logistics/Trading organizations would be preferred.

Experience: 14-20 yrs

CTC bracket – Rs. 55-65 lacs per annum (Not a constraint for deserving candidates)
