Our client is a global banking firm with captive unit in Bangalore.

Designation: VP-Global Leadership & Diversity

Location: Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Vice President in GLD will play a critical role in working within HCM and across all divisions in Bangalore to execute initiatives that support the firm's diversity mission to create an environment which attracts, retains and maximises the development of its diverse community of employees. The VP will work closely with members of each of the three teams within the Talent Management function, namely Recruiting, University and GLD Globally, to provide a seamless and effective diversity service to the business in attracting, retaining and developing its talent.

Areas of focus:

- Lead end to end project management of key diversity initiatives and programs through the course of the year

- Liaise with firm leadership on diversity initiatives including Divisional Leadership, the India Diversity Committee and the Diversity Networks

- Actively partner with the divisions and offices to support the development and retention of a deep bench of female employees

- Strategically partner with Recruitment team to drive experienced hire and undergraduate recruitment from a diverse community

- Provide advisory to various strands of diversity like gender, disability, LGBT, religion and culture and family.

- Consult with and act as adviser to the Affinity Network Heads across the region

- Draft diversity communications and briefing papers for internal and external purposes (e.g. press publications, public speaking engagements and other external diversity related networks and groups)

- Liaise with the GLD teams globally to ensure Bangalore diversity message is consistent with global diversity mission

- Interface with internal partners on key projects

- Analyse statistics on key demographic trends and manage distribution of diversity reports and statistics to key stakeholders in Bangalore

- Represent the firm and develop appropriate relationships with external partners and associations (NASSCOM, Catalyst, Community Business etc) to enable information gathering and advocacy

- Support the firm's participation in bench marking surveys and regional award submissions

- Act as a conduit for research, intelligence and external developments in the diversity arena

- Manage regional budget for diversity related activities and expenses

Desired Profile:

- Graduate/ Post Graduate

- 7+ years of experience

- Demonstrated interest and involvement in diversity initiatives

- Experience working in best-in-class, global organizations known for excellence in creative inclusive environment at work

- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence senior leaders

- Experience of project management with demonstrated ability to manage multiple large, complex time-sensitive projects

- Excellent Communication, Presentation and Facilitation Skills

- Strong people management skills

- Flexible, collaborative interpersonal style that inspires the confidence of senior management
