Position Title: Vice President

Grade / Level: Management Level -4

Division / Department: FVS

Location: Chennai

Job Purpose:

(Briefly describe the general purpose of the position or its significance from the organization’s point of view and how it contributes to the overall mission/objective of the organization).

- Manage Fund Administration Services Unit specifically for the NAV activities at Chennai.

- Support the project execution with expertise, resources, recruitment and training

- Participate to shaping the split operations organization

- Size the accountant - validators team for the NAV activity to be migrated to SG GSC

- Induct new managers and business experts from onsite for success of the new NAV projects

- Review functional split and controls with the SGSS NAV BPM team to ensure the right model minimizing duplication of effort/control

- New funds migration to be managed without operational incidents / risks

- Processes Review and adhere Service Level Agreement for all services delivered

- Monitors team performance and risk coverage

- Right level of cooperation with new managers of SGSS in GSC

- Governance in place for new funds being migrated

- Integration of split teams of NAV across Chennai and Bangalore

Comments:

- Vice President will be responsible for the performance management decisions of the business functions handled under his portfolio and will be responsible for arriving at the performance bell curve for his perimeter handled.

Principal Accountabilities:

Operations Management:

- Support SGSS Expansion Project in GSC with direct responsibility for NAV Chennai and NAV Paris and NAV Germany perimeter.

People Management:

- Conduct regular staff meetings

- Give periodic reviews to the staffs for improvement

- Ensure back up created at each level in team.

Client Management:

- Regular Steering committee to organize regular management cascade and site performance

- Regular operational meetings with the counterpart operational managers to handle issues appropriately and in time

- Understand client expectations clearly to ensure clarity on deliveries and operating model

- Work on client feedback through CSAT surveys and other feedback from monthly meetings

Reporting and Budgeting:

- Monthly reporting to clients and to local management

- Conduct discussions with clients to assimilate the yearly budget on business expansion

- Finalize the yearly budget and landing plan for the operations/business function

- Maintain cost & productivity at budgeted level

Recruitment:

- Finalize Job description with the client

- Discussion with Human resources department to explain the job description and requirement.

- Participate effectively in the recruitment process to finalize the candidature of staffs to be on boarded.

Skills & Knowledge:

Educational Qualifications:

- Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce/Banking

Functional Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Accounting, Investment Banking and Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds

- Good working knowledge of Mutual funds/Hedge funds and fund accounting

- Good knowledge of financial instruments and Capital markets

Behavioral Skills:

- High quality consciousness

- Systematic and methodical

- Excellent communication skills (Spoken and Written)

- Able to provide technical leadership in an assertive manner when required

- Excellent People management skills

- Develop change leadership and senior stakeholder influencing skills based on analytic skills and business knowledge

Relevant and total years of Experience:

- 10+ years experience in operations management.

- Specific experience in Process migrations and off-shoring
