VP - Fixed Income Securities Operations

Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role):

Lead the management of the GSC Fixed Income Securities departments across the GSC sites.

Ensure the Global Markets business is supported in a controlled manner through delivery of the following activities:

FI Securities Middle Office Trade Date Processing - The FI Securities TDP team is in charge to allocate, enrich and validate the trades, to process all amendments and cancellations, auctions and tenders, to resolve FO BO reconciliations, to confirm all transactions, to generate regulatory trade reporting, to deliver reports focusing upon operational performance, risk and client indicators supported globally within Global Markets (GM) Operations;

FI Securities Clearing & Settlements - The FI Securities C&S team is in charge to send instructions, to investigate and repair any failed instructions, to match and settle instructions, to monitor all alleged instructions and fails, to claim interest fees, to reconcile stock and cash positions and investigate any discrepancy. Settlements are processed on both international and all domestics markets, on primary and secondary markets.

FI Derivatives Middle Office Trade Capture - The FI Derivatives Trade Capture team is in charge to perform real time trades reconciliation to ensure a correct booking which is required before any drafting of the confirmation.

Further role dimensions:

- Maintain and develop key stakeholder relationships with the broader Markets Operations leadership population.

- Take the lead role in driving initiatives to deliver strategic development of the FI Securities organisation, technology and operating model in the GSC, continuously improving the control and process efficiency of the department. Additionally work with the FI global function heads to implement strategic deliverables, maintaining active partnership and interaction.

- Responsible and accountable for managing the RTB and CTB budget for FI in the GSC.

- Lead the agenda for FI managed activities in the GSC, ensuring the effective and controlled management of inbound migrations and BCP / de-risking.

- Develop the FI management and leadership capabilities within the GSC, focusing on succession planning to ensure current and future operational requirements are met. Working in partnership with HR to develop and maintain a high performance culture across FI GSC.

- Maintain a full and active involvement in centre-wide activities (salary planning, calibration, migration control, operations strategy, visitor management, general escalation etc.)

- Oversight of all FI migration activity into GSC

- Control management oversight across respective processes

- Responsibility for effective implementation of process and control initiatives

- Principal relationship manager for GSC sites

- Control and accountability of FI GSC budget including savings

- Ensure the product areas understand and value the service they receive from GSC operations.

Skills:

10 years tenure within an Investment Banking Operations environment with experience in Securities Operations.
