VP - Employee Relations - BFSI

To plan, manage and execute INM's Employee & Industrial Relations- strategy and policies, to support change & transformation while maintaining a harmonious working environment within the organization. To ensure that decisions taken in this regard are compliant with local legislation's, and the Group's guidelines that apply.

Principal Responsibilities :

- Provide strategic advisory to business on labour & employment aspects in key transformation / change initiatives

- Support the design & implementation of HR / ER policies in compliance with local labour laws, regulations and Group guidelines.

- Implement and act as a custodian of the important internal policies such as the Global Consequence Management Framework, The INM Disciplinary Policy, Policy on Prohibition / Prevention & Redressal of Sexual Harassment, Grievance Redressal, Code of Conduct etc.

- Act as an advisor to subsidiary companies across India including HR & business

- Manage Trade Union relations & strategy including the internal Federation & external trade unions

- Effectively engage and manage relationships with legal counsels ; work on litigation strategy with respect to employment disputes ; ownership & accountability for outcomes

- Work closely with the Head of ER on union negotiations

- Engage with the local Union leadership, and with Award Staff in the areas

- Manage IR situations on the ground in the event of a conflict with internal or external Unions.

- Oversee contract staff engagement by business, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation's

Qualifications :

Skills and Experience :

- A Post-Graduate degree in Human Resources

- High business acumen and ability to understand changing business trends

- Knowledge of labor & employment legislation's & application to the business context

- A clear and concise communication style, both in presentation skills and written English.

- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
