We are searching for:

Role objective:

To ensure OTC Derivatives has operational processes which provide for regulatory compliance and effective client service through cost effective and efficient processing.

Overview: The Derivatives Change team is part of the Debt Operations function in the Global Technology and Operations organisation of the bank.

The role will drive the coordination and collaboration of global Operations teams and Technology to ensure the delivery of fit for purpose technology solutions that meet our regulatory, client service and operational efficiency needs.

Background: Derivatives trade, confirmation and settlement processing needs to evolve effectively to meet the demands of new regulation, expectations of our clients and to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness. This role involves leading a global team and partnering with technology to drive the definition and development of effective technology solutions for RTB processing.

Responsibilities:

Overall coordination, transparency and thought leadership ensuring globally consistent solutions encompassing clear articulation of operational requirements, development of appropriate globally consistent business processes, and partnership with technology to drive prioritization and collaboration throughout initiatives

Market Initiatives & Vendor Relationships - Industry engagement to ensure we have a roadmap for industry plans and have internal initiatives in place to support these

Regulatory Impact - engagement with Regulatory functions to ensure we have a roadmap for regulatory impacts on operational processing and have initiatives in place to support

Business & Client Driven - engagement via the RTB line managers to understand any business or client driven plans and ensure, where necessary, we have technology initiatives in place to support

Infrastructure Strategy - coordinate operational vision, define optimal business process & own delivery to drive definition and implementation of opportunities and solutions

Day to day management of the global change team ensuring appropriate distribution of tasks and projects amongst global resource pool.

Define appropriate governance and reporting structure for senior stakeholders as well as RTB teams.

Ability to track, monitor and report multiple initiatives with multiple stakeholders.

Ability to identify and escalate key risks and issues that will impact project success or delivery

Ability to develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders in GT ensuring clear accountability and responsibility for project management, tracking and reporting.

Provide independent assessment of operational benefits, ability to track delivery of projects vs operational benefits - ensure post go-live realization milestones are set and tracked.

Tracking and communication of all projects including milestone tracking, status reporting to appropriate stakeholders.

Supporting RTB business teams through identification of further efficiency or control enhancements with through the development of relevant reporting and metrics.

Identify further opportunities for location, product or functional synergy reducing operational cost and complexity.

Ability to support ad-hoc requests on business analysis, incident remediation, cost or control review.

Implement best practice across global change teams to ensure consistency of reporting and approach.

Experience / Exposure:

- Overall minimum 10+ years of banking operations experience

- Order of Preferred Skill Set

1) OTC Derivatives (Rates / Credit ) Operations Experience

2) Investment Management Operations Management Experience

3) Change management and program management within a global organisation

- Track record of delivering change initiatives and partnering with Technology teams

Education / Certification:

- Minimum education qualification-should be a graduate

- 10+ years (Investment Banking experience is desirable).

- Should have excellent communication and presentation skills

- Should be conversant with MS Office tools(MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
