VP - Actuarial - Reinsurance Firm

Urgently hiring for Vice President role for one of the leading reinsurance firm for Bangalore location

Main tasks/activities/responsibilities :

- You will support all aspects of deal costing from the assessment of risk exposures and programme structure to the ultimate quantification of the insurance premium.

- You will run portfolio analysis and develop management reports

- Using your strong analytical and collaboration skills, you will collect and analyse industry and coverage-specific data and work with various in-house experts and internal stakeholders to develop appropriate costing models.

- You will use your process management skills and structured- thinking in driving cross-unit project initiatives through.

- You will maintain high quality documentation of your work and ensure operations are implemented according to internal guidelines and best practice

- You will build and manage strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to strengthening client satisfaction by understanding their needs and providing effective solutions.

- You will train and support underwriting communities on technical topics and tool usage to ensure models and tools are used appropriately.

- You will work collaboratively and inclusively with team members across units and geographiesensuring the collective skill sets are used for best results and service delivery

Job requirements (education, linguistic ability, professional experience, leadership qualities) :

- Actuarial qualifications or university degree with strong statistical education (Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering/Physics/Computer science/Actuarial qualification or equivalent quantitative training)

- Strong Knowledge in Insurance / Reinsurance concepts with experience in Commercial Insurance pricing and model development.

- At least 10 years of working experience preferably in actuarial functions and at least 5 years in P&C costing & pricing experience.

- Demonstrated passion towards team leadership and people development

- Ability to think globally and strategically to develop and implement new concepts

- Proven ability to work with teams in other locations.

- Strong written & verbal communication skills in English language

- Strong Client orientation and management skills (Balanced focus on results and people)

- Flexible to work within European Business time-zone.

- Interested in working in an international, multicultural and complex environment

- Project management experience and proven ability to deal with multiple stakeholders is a plus

Specific Technical Skills :

- Strong statistical skills

- Qualified Actuarial designation would be an advantage.

- Have the ability to review analytical results, derive recommendations and communicate implications to all stakeholders.

- Able to challenge assumptions, methods and conclusions

- Understands actuarial models, business processes, can evaluate accuracy and uncertainty in models
