Role purpose:

Responsible for reporting a robust set of monthly financial results across the fixed and mobile billing bases including reconciliation of the systems and balance sheets.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and strong technical knowledge. They will enjoy improving and streamlining processes and will have the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.

Efficiently handle a large and a high performing team and produce results.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

- Complete the production of timely and accurate monthly Revenue results within the agreed month end timetable

- Completion of reconciliations of unbilled revenues and standard COS.

- Perform analysis of results to ensure completeness/accuracy and be able to explain key trends and movements.

- Prepare accurate and timely account reconciliations, including investigating and resolving reconciling items.

- Provide detailed analysis of the results to the business, giving insight into the drivers behind the trends.

- Be able to communicate results to stakeholders in the business, both inside and outside finance.

- Work with the business to resolve billing/commercial queries.

- Encourage and drive a continuous process improvement culture to create further efficiencies within the team in order to meet challenging objectives.

- Recommend ideas and help implement improvements to processes cross functionally and/or within own role area.

- Understanding billing and reporting systems, and therefore able to provide input to changes or enhancements of existing billing systems.

- Ensure ongoing compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and promote a highly controlled and accurate working environment. Be able to identify and address any control weaknesses.

- Production of all balance sheets, identifying risks and opportunities, recommending courses or actions as appropriate.

- Work with teams across functions to deliver improvements across Group Common Functions.

- Coach and develop the team by identifying their development needs through call over process and regular engagement

Innovation & Change

- Continuously develop and improve existing processes to ensure they remain simple, are efficient and align to the overall Fin Ops vision

- Address historic issues, identify root causes and ensure a sustainable fix is implemented

- Align Fin RMA processes to the common RMA framework, and wider Fin Ops operating principles

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

- Qualified Accountant (ICAI or equivalent) ideally with relevant business experience.

- Team Leader with positive attitude.

- Detail conscious.

- Completer/finisher.

- Experience in driving change and process re-engineering.

- Understanding of IFRS.

- Ability to challenge the status-quo in a mature and sophisticated manner.

- Strong financial and analytical skills.

- Knowledge of the mobile telecommunications industry an advantage.

- Experience in fast-moving industries.

- Strong knowledge of Excel essential.

- Knowledge of SAP, Business Objects, Access an advantage.
