Job Description - This role in the bank aims to create a platform to facilitate a comprehensive, engaging and enriching dialogue between the key Internal bank divisions/ stakeholders of the group with the External Stakeholders ( Government, Trade bodies, Industrial Associations, Multilateral Forum, Nodal Agencies, Think Tanks and other Policy Makers) to constantly nurture the best practices of the bank by indefatigably endeavouring to create value for the bank as a whole.

It has a large branch network across multiple locations in the country.

Description

- To enhance and strengthen the bank's relationship with key external stakeholders : Government, regulatory bodies and policy makers by coordinating for various engagement activities persuasively, extensively, efficiently and effectively

- Reinforcing Bank's commitment towards the society by acting as a catalyst and by stimulating "trusted" relationships between the internal and external stakeholders.

- Drafting, assisting and making representations on behalf of the bank

- To act as a catalyst and to analyse the regulatory financial ecosystem, analyse and mitigate risk thereby, play a
pivotal role in catalysing sustainable growth

- Organising meetings, events as and when required, corresponding and coordinating with all relevant stakeholders

- Keeping abreast with information and movements related to the Government and key bodies in Maharashtra.

- Writing reports, undertaking background researches on the meetings, events attended and sharing them as an
update regularly with the management

- Actively participating in Financial events, various networks and movements to share bank's position on various issues by liaising proactively after in- house consultation

- Ensuring Senior Management is informed of changes in the policy landscape through regular gatherings (eg: reading, meetings, events and maintaining contacts)

- Working closely with other colleagues, lead the development of Group Public Affairs objectives, reviewing plans regularly and prioritizng with other team members to make the most of emerging opportunities and potential tactics

- Supporting bank's regional and national advocacy plans

- Ensuring internal engagement and ownership of advocacy and policy plans and priorities

- Enhancing engagement via clear, innovative, consistent and coherent messaging and supporting the management in the development of high quality analysis, policy briefings, recommendations and positions relating to Bank Public Affairs Advocacy and policy priorities

- Identifying new business opportunities for the bank

Profile

The ideal candidate will be a University Degree holder with quality work experience in the field of policy advocacy, public affairs, handling relationship with the Government both at State and Central level and experience of working on regulatory issues pertinent to Financial Services.

Candidate should be a management graduate from Tier I/II Institute with 9-14 years of experience

Experience and understanding of banking business (Corporate, Institutional and Retail Banking including key products, key roles is a must

Experience of influencing the policy and practice of handling government and financial institution's relationship through advocacy / policy development

Excellent written, verbal communication & networking skills
