Key responsibilities of the position will include :  - Working closely with India offshoring management and Asia Pacific Legal and Compliance Division management;  - Ensuring internal clients, India offshoring management, colleagues and staff are informed of relevant legal and regulatory developments and their implications, particularly as relates to the Firm's offshoring operations in India  - Providing guidance on STPI, DOT and other relevant regulations  - Communicating with local regulators and maintaining regulatory relationships  - Liaising with internal clients, outside legal counsel, colleagues and staff to manage legal and regulatory risk, including contractual negotiations, local licensing and regulatory issues and compliance with relevant laws and regulations  - Engaging with colleagues in other regions (e.g. EMEA and U.S.) to ensure consistent practices across the Firm  - Coordinate closely with the global functions that provide governance of the offshoring operations  - Assisting in implementation of the Firm's compliance policies and procedures and dissemination of the compliance culture within the Firm's offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru  - Assisting in compliance monitoring, test checking and reviews of the offshoring business units  - Coordinating with external vendors on legal and compliance issues  - Review/prepare legal agreements such as inter-affiliate agreements, vendor contracts, license applications etc  - Participating in industry working groups.  The successful candidate will have some or all of the following experience and skills :  - Qualified lawyer with 7+ years post-qualification experience.  - Communicating with and building relationships with regulators.   - Giving advice to management on laws and regulations relating to offshoring.   - Experience and working knowledge of STPI, DOT and/or similar regulations.  - Analyzing and advising on legal and/or compliance issues related to financial services.  - Experience and knowledge of offshoring business in India.  - Delivering training on compliance and franchise issues (e.g. employee trading, information barriers, core regulations).  - Excellent communications skills, written and oral.  - Teamplayer.  - Well organized and practical approach to managing tasks and getting work done.  - Structured approach to problem solving and setting out issues.  - Appreciation of compliance and legal risks and strong ethical foundation.  - Desire to further their career in financial services in the area of offshoring business.
