Vice President - Financial Reporting

Job Purpose:

Perform overall month end reporting activities. This includes managing and overseeing the pre-month-end activities, month-end validations, data integrity, preparing & posting of adjustments in general ledger, submission of data in Financial Reporting System.

The person should have a solid understanding of the US GAAP accounting principles. Other requirements include extensive hands on experience in migration of finance activities, re-engineering finance processes, exemplary people management skills, ability to drive results under tight deadlines, and good problem solving abilities. Solid customer service and proactive communication skills are also required in order to interact with customers and multiple levels of management. Expert level experience in advance

MS Excel modelling, preparing MS power point presentations and hands on experience in accounting applications.

Job Background/context:

- Financial Reporting Operations, Operations and Technology team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ability to manage large processes independently

- Manage end to end accounting and finalization and reporting of financial statement

- Data integrity ownership for several legal entity and management segment books

- Focus on creating a control environment that is best in class

- Preparation and deliver high end analytics for senior management decision making

- Review and own pre month-end / month end activities including data integrity, adjustments, validation errors and submission of financial data in Reporting System

- Monthly / Quarterly reporting as per US GAAP - US Reg Reporting, Corp reporting

- Preparing, circulating and presenting legal entity MI packs (along with value added analytics on variances) to customers on a periodic basis

- Migrate, Stabilize, and re-engineering processes from market under tight deadlines.

Person Specification:

Knowledge/Experience:

- Minimum of 15 years of experience with financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, financial systems.

- Exceptional hand-on experience in managing change i.e. migration of processes, questioning status-quo and re-engineering / improving processes.

- Exemplary people management skills; should be able to inspire and motivate large and diverse teams to go over and above managing regular business responsibilities.

Skills:

- Ability to work independently with limited direction.

- Excellent analytical skills and a strong financial background.

- Understanding of advanced accounting concepts (USGAAP, Local Accounting Standards and IFRS) preferred.

- Advanced working knowledge in MS Office Applications (Excel, Power point, Access d/b)

- Ability to analyze and react to problems and /or situations, ensuring that the overall process is not adversely impacted.

- Knowledge of system functions.

- Solid analytical skills to handle adhoc queries.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks covering multiple projects with varying delivery dates is required.

- Deadline oriented.

Qualifications:

CA,- 2002 Pass out, CPA, ICWA with relevant experience, Competencies

- Ability to interface with very senior customers professionally

- Top notch customer relationship management skills
