Role Title: Analyst - Digital Strategy   Reports into : Associate Director - Digital Strategy & Transformation  Role Details   The Digital Strategy & BD Team has been setup at VFS Global with the aim to envision and create the digital vision for VFS Global and build a completely new business alongside the core VFS business. The Primary responsibility for this role is to provide research, analytical and project management support to the Associate Director, Digital Strategy & Transformation and Chief Digital in projects.   Role will report into the Associate Director and will be require candidate to work on multiple projects / workstreams at a time, each at a different stage and thus, requiring skills across research, data collection, analysis, market modelling, insight generation, reporting, project management & execution.  Roles and Responsibilities  Research and Analytics:  - Carry out detailed market research (primary & secondary) for different projects and/or for defining the digital vision & strategy; summarise the research and insights and present to target audience  - Carry out high quality analysis: Perform zero defect analysis; Strong attention to detail  - Conduct hands-on data mining and quantitative analysis  - Build out market models and business models to frame business opportunities including the business logic, assumptions etc.  - Conduct strategic and quantitative competitor analysis, company profiling for specific market opportunities   Problem Solving & Strategy:  - Framing the work and high quality thinking: Can assist the supervisor in framing the work  - Support in identification and analysis of opportunities and risks  - Support in creating presentations for the board meetings, EB meetings and other critical meetings  - Project Management: Develop frameworks, milestones and project control; track against progress  - Understand stakeholder issues, business context and interdependencies: Familiarity with the overall portfolio  Team:  - Support and drive the development of great team dynamics  - Create and manage a repository of all critical data & information on Dropbox  - Create and manage a knowledge repository for all critical technologies, companies etc. that are relevant for the digital team  - Introduce new tools to the team to the team for improving efficiency & collaboration  - Set and deliver high standards and Inspire a passion for winning  Desired Candidate Profile  - 2-4 years of total experience, ideally within analytics and/or strategy consulting  - Demonstrated structured problem solving and analytical skills  - Solid presentation skills (ppt. etc) & ability to structure, summarise and visualize complex content & messaging in presentations   - Strong skills in conducting market research and building market models based on key drivers; should be a pro at excel including advanced excel skills   - Can help gather different information needed using new & innovative ways; Should be able to derive first-level inferences from the reports and data available  - Good written and oral communication and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with middle management stakeholders  - Ability to work well in a team and in pressure situations  - Understands project work, can set-up project structures, create work-plans and tracking processes with supervision   - High reliability, commitment and self-motivated; Passionate about the business, its people & customers  - Building excellent informal relationships across the VFS group   - A go-getter with proven ability to - get things done-   Good to Have  - Strong interest in business development, strategy and innovation including redefining existing processes & developing new things  - Operational experience would be valuable =- ability to take over operational projects & execute  - Strong connection and affinity to technology, has ideally worked on projects in the technology space  - Engage in stakeholder management with lower/middle management  Atul Choudary Human Resource,  VFS Global Services
