Role Summary:

Vendor Channel head will be primarily lead our PAN India efforts on Vendor channel sourcing program and will be responsible for driving specific supply acquisition targets attached. The objective is to establish Vendor channel as an independent channel of acquisition using our own developed mobile app.

Grade: Director/ Senior Director.

Stakeholders:

City/ Supply Heads, other functions (Product, Procurement, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Growth and Central Supply Teams),

Reporting to - Chief Operating Officer/ Incumbent

Responsibilities:

1. Build & Execute our Vendor Channel sourcing strategy with partner acquisition & retention as a key goal. The strategy will aim to achieve our larger objectives to build a profitable and sustainable partner base that are acquired by these vendors.

2. Proactively leads a joint Vendor channel planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive vendor channel sourcing relationship. Also develop a good vendor satisfaction index or an equivalent nps score.

3. The incumbent is expected to Build strong operational and process efficiency by driving strong and relevant performance parameters on which the vendors will be evaluated/ paid.

4. Partner with the vendors to build in strong commercial capabilities on conversions, retentions, incentive schemes, territory positioning of their resources as well as their sales pitches.

5. Manages potential conflict with other competitive channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to rules of engagement

6. Partner with the City teams to bring in various best practices, local nuances to help the vendors succeed in their portfolios.

7. Work with the Product team(s) to improvise the current App that is being utilized to onboard the partners as on today. This will require proactive communication with the central teams and ensuring that the feedback is incorporated well into the Product roadmap.

8. Ensures vendor compliance with all the agreements

Qualifications & Background:

1. Premier B-school graduate having a major is sales/ distribution and/procurement.

2. Engineering degree from premier institute like IIT or equivalent

3. 10+ years post Engineering of Vendor and/or channel sales experience with P&L ownership in e-commerce or FMCG industry.

4. Candidates with exposure to online industry with prior experience in top Retail, FMCG or Consulting industry background will be preferred

Competencies:

1. Very strong on business operations fundamentals, conceptual thought process

2. Strong numerical and analytical aptitude

3. Strong collaboration and influencing skills

4. Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects; very strong in influencing and driving change behaviors

5. Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

6. Has handled teams that are leaner, more spread across geographies
