Title:	Solution architects – Business analytics Information Technology.   Band – Assistant Manager  	 Division / Business Unit :Corporate IT   Reports to: DGM - IT 	 Purpose:		  - BI technology architect provides architecture and technical support to the Varroc BI instance   - The primary responsibility of this role is to work with developers, technology partners, In-house functional team and BPM to ensure the regional Qlikview system supports the Varroc business processes, and is seen to provide a competitive advantage for the business.   - The Tech IT solution architect will also contribute to the overall effectiveness of BI and team through active participation in IT activities and provision of technical and functional support & projects across the various Enterprise Systems processes where possible.  - Single point gate keeper for all technologies in BI space  - Implementation rollouts and Upgrade projects. Involve in all phases of SDLC & ITIL methodology. Over 7 years of Application Development and Consulting experience in BI applications specialized in Qlikview connecting to SAP ERP.  - Data Modelling using Dimensional Modelling, Star Schema, Snowflake schema.  - Designing of Parameterize Reports with conditional formatting, sorting, running totals, variables, collections/arrays, groups, group selection, and summary reports  - Unit testing and Performance Tuning of all the report in order to reduce the execution time required for generating these reports and thereby improving the overall speed of execution and performance of the reports.   - Working on different QlikView features like linked objects, Associative search, Mekko charts, etc   - Managing data extracts and data and system security  - Creating and maintaining source QlikView files (QVWs and QVDs)   - Controlling data refresh and application distribution through QlikView Publisher  - Administering QlikView deployments via the QlikView Management Console (part of QVS)  1. CR (change request) effort estimates and feasibility study. Manages execution and communication.  2. Part of change control board and architecture review.  3. Manage relationship with ITS, IT-BRM, BPM (regional MRC & country based) and GPOs at technology Level.  4 Act as solution architect for BI technology.  5. Technical changes and enhancements. Manage/overview L3/L2 work and also back up.  6. Problem solving and resolution of testing issues.
