You will be responsible for:  Category Research : Consumer insights (qual./quant.) along with market visits and benchmarking to arrive at a clear category and product insights.  Business/Range Planning : Planning the complete range of the category, from a number of subcategories, SKUs, price points, use cases, materials, etc. This means assessing market size potential, market segments to play in having a clear thought on the category positioning and market leadership.  New Product Development : Actioning the range plan to coordinate with sourcing and design to develop new products for the catalog. From building briefs for new product development to approving prototypes, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of the product before launch. This means negotiating with vendors on prices, the design team for product specs and value engineering.   Product Launch Coordination : Engage with functions such as Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Customer-Service, Engineering, Operations, and Finance to plan a go to market strategy for the launch products.  Category Performance : Responsible for the performance of the category. This would include high-level data analytics to understand buyer behavior and product performance. The analysis should lead to actionable for the products in the catalog (pricing, positioning, new product development).  - Interventions to boost category revenues: Keep a tab on data trends to identify blips; come up with timely interventions to give a revenue boost  Primary Skills and Functional Experience :  - Extremely high level of ownership, drive, and initiative supported by prior track record  - 2+ years of work experience in a role with P&L responsibility in sales and marketing or operations (premier consulting companies, FMCG, FMCD, startups)  Competencies required for Success in This Role :   - Customer Focus  - Analytical Skills  - Quality of Work  - Problem Solving  - Ownership & Drive  - Collaboration and Teamwork  - Creativity and Innovation
