Context: To proactively analyze and communicate the financial impact of Capex projects. Analyse manufacturing cost structures, conceptualise and drive cost saving initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Capex & Manufacturing Sourcing Head to develop the Capex strategy/business plans, finalize the major initiatives for the fiscal, and clearly define capital allocation/prioritization rules
- Support the Capex function leadership in monitoring and driving business performance by providing concise and quality management information (regular and ad-hoc) on key business drivers including variance analysis
- Analyse the underlying cost structures, the nature of those costs and offer sound commercial advice to manage costs in manufacturing function effectively
- Track leading and trailing indicators of benefits realization, drive post-completion reviews (PCR) and recommend remedial action
- Work closely with other Supply Finance business partners, Treasury and FP&R teams to understand the state of business across various dimensions and recommend forward-looking Capex strategies to the senior management
- Implement and follow organisational standards, controls, compliance and policies as defined; escalate exceptions or questionable practices to direct manager or functional leadership
- Lead or support projects within Finance especially projects related to streamlining and/or improving processes and systems
Outcomes:
- Capex projects implemented On-time and within-budget
- Timely provision of period-end reports with insightful analysis
- Robust Cost Controls reducing leakages and increasing IRR
- Enhanced delivery of finance partnership to the manufacturing function
- Experience in CAPEX project management, Project/Cost Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis is preferred
- Experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm, FMCG, Alco-Bev or Manufacturing industries
- MBA Finance / CA / CFA (Level-3)
- Knowledge of SAO FICO and other USL Finance systems is essential
