Role title : SC IT Capability Building Manager - Financial Forecasting

Scope : Global

Function : Business Operations

Reports to : Lead Financial Forecasting Manager, SC IT

Location : Bangalore

Context :

- Unilever Enterprise and Technical Support (ETS) is a new global business unit that will manage the company's shared business services, made up of HR Services, Finance Transactions, Business Engagement, IT services, Information Management Services and Workplace and Travel Services.

Mission :

- To provide excellent services globally which enable Unilever to win in the market by putting the business goals at the heart of what we do leveraging cost-effective, best practice, global solutions across Unilever to meet users needs making continuous improvement in both cost and service an integral part of our way of working building a professional services organisation that enables our people to give their best developing win-win relationships with selected providers to meet our current and future requirements

The key benefits from ETS are expected to be :

- Lower cost of delivery through standardisation, simplification, process harmonisation & scale leverage.

- Better user experience by delivery of integrated service bundles to end-user.

- Continuous improvement through end-to-end process ownership.

Accountabilities :

- Deliver harmonization, operational effectiveness and measurable improvement through the design and delivery of process and system solutions that generate value for the business

- Analyse business processes, and identify business factors influencing the development of new or alternative business processes

- Assess change requests and create clarity of business process requirements that drive appropriate delivery of services

- Assess feasibility and options for the implementation of new or improved business processes and services

- Contribute to feasibility studies

- Design effective end-to-end process solutions to deliver the Function's business strategy and policy

- Manage and participate in process improvement projects, ensuring the smooth integration of new business processes with organisational structure and culture.

- Assess the implications of new processes on both people and organisation and identify the activities necessary to ensure a smooth transition to new processes.

- Support the definition of operational acceptance criteria for new and changed processes and tools and support Service Operations in judging if operational acceptance criteria have been met

- Determine, develop and monitor monthly performance measures specific to the live service

- Monitor and ensure process compliance - work with stakeholders within Unilever and Service Providers and the wider business to ensure the service is working as desired

- Capture and share internal and external best practices

- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging process and technology trends and developments in areas of interest to the organisation

- Support change management, training and testing where appropriate and educate extended user base on solutions as required

- Create and maintain process knowledge to be made available professionally through ES organisation to the business

- Ensure robust controls are in place for security and access to systems and enabling technologies

Responsibilities :

- Financial Forecasting (P&L forecasting - cash-up) Process Design

- Program / Project Management

- Driving Continuous Improvement and Innovation

Key Skills &Experience Required :

- Fully operational expertise within Financial Forecasting (cash-up - P&L forecasting process) and linking the same with wider S&OP process

- Planning tools (preferably Oracle Hyperion) knowledge would be an advantage.

- Expertise in modelling, and design is required at a fully operational level.

- Expertise in leading global communities of practitioners and training key users.

- Experience of a major transformation program would be preferential

- KPI's and business outcome design, action and monitoring

- Project management - Funnel, Budget and Business Case

- This person should have experience in P&L forecasting process.

- The candidate should be flexible to travel across the different regions to support other global business projects

- A key attribute of the individual we are looking for is to be able to influence people who do not have a reporting line to the role and are able to business partner key leads in the operating centre teams
