Background :   - Procurement Manager, Innovation& Professional Services (IPS)is part of MBS, the Global Indirects Procurement Network and reports to IPS Senior Manager, who reports to IPS Global Director.  - Global spend on Indirects for Unilever is app. 11Bn Euro, of which app. 40% is managed regionally. Global spend within the indirect commodities that are outsourced is approximately 900M Euro, with numerous suppliers from the leading outsourcing supply market.   - The scope of the IPS contracts crosses the broad operations spectrum of Enterprise Support, R&D, Finance, Management Consulting, Legal and BPO services. IPS contracts are a mix of global umbrella contracts with regional service agreement, and regional contracts.  - Global strategy to drive Indirects spend is the way of working, and Procurement Manage  Accountability (Outputs):  Global/Regional Strategy building and execution :  - Accountability for supporting global strategy development of Professional Services  - Build a game changing regional/globalSupply- and Supplier strategy  - Engage Regional or local MBS Community for delivery of the global strategy and push/monitor execution  - Drive aggressively the global savings agenda through global projects execution and local projects establishment  - Further accelerate LCC (Low Cost Country) Sourcing for the portfolio in line with global aspirations  - Ensure full buy in of business partners in R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, ETS, Legal  - Coordinate regional portfolios selectively and leverage global opportunities thereof  - Drive sourcing professionalism and rigor across spend areas in a proactive manner  - Focus on overall Procure to Pay process and compliance management  - Provide market insights and market movements to global stakeholders  Candidate must have high level of business acumen to act as an internal consultative partner to numerous operational executives on sourcing of complex services.  Supplier Relationship Management :   - Manage Global/Regional Supplier Relationships, identify new suppliers and Supply Markets  - Conduct negotiations and tenders and agree allocation to regions and suppliers with MBS and functional stakeholders.  - Drive global supplier optimization program  - Engage suppliers on Unilever's Innovation agenda responding to Category needs  - Quality, contract and Service Level Agreement improvement programs with suppliers via governance meeting  - Develop/complement benchmark rate card and cost models  - Global/regional Supplier Performance Management  General :  - Engage stakeholders proactively, sell the value proposition of MBS  - Support local execution of global strategies, scout/define/develop local opportunities to drive value  - Drive best in class business processes, tools and practices including eAuctions  Competencies & Skills:  Key Competencies :   - Global Mindset, Self-starter, Team player, Real Accountability, Bias for action, Perseverance  Professional Skills :   - Strong communicator/interpersonal skills, passionate, entrepreneurial, analytical skills, target driven, negotiation skills, financial management  - Thorough knowledge of outsourcing industry, best practices, contracting and negotiations  General Skills :   - Project management, change management, information management, with fluent spoken English, business acumen  Experience Required :   - Experienced in managing (global) Supplier relationships  - Good experience in dealing with different cultures within and outside Unilever  - Know-how/expertise on indirect spend areas, outsourcing and best practices  People Management : 1 direct report located in Mumbai  Travel : Regular regional travel (India), some international travel.  Based : Flexible Bangalore / Mumbai
