Unilever - Capability Architect - SAP

The Unilever requirement is for a good SAP technology person.

- The ideal candidate would have SAP system architecture/solutioning/design experience, particularly for the I-012 Capability Manager role. The experience should be in the design of SAP systems or of the infrastructure hosting SAP systems (ideally both, but candidates with either could be suitable).

- An ideal candidate would have skills and experience in technology roadmaps and lifecycles, understand customer requirements and be capable of delivering technical solutions to meet the requirements of the business.

- As an alternative an experienced SAP Basis project or SAP Basis support person could have the capability of moving into architecture so would also be a good candidate, depending on the skill level and experiences, candidates with SAP Basis experience only may- not be suitable for the Capability Manager role (We would still review the CV of these types of candidates for consideration for the Manager role).

- SAP Basis Candidates should have a good SAP Basis foundation, with solid experience of NetWeaver and Java systems.

- Examples of the type of work experienced SAP Basis candidates may have been involved in are projects involving migrations, upgrades, Disaster Recovery, the implementation and installation of new SAP systems or have provided support in a large and complex environment and through support been involved in DR or upgrades.

- Any candidate with both SAP system architecture/solutioning/design and SAP Basis experience would be a very good candidate.

- Desirable candidates would have worked in roles involved in SAP system architecture/solutioning and/or SAP system design.

- Alternatively candidates with strong SAP system administration and troubleshooting skills, including SAP database administration.

- Some knowledge of SAP HANA and/or SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) and SAP Business Suite applications, would be preferable, but is not essential.

- Candidates with SAP or Architecture certification would be ideal, but this is not a mandatory requirement. Examples of certification: SAP Technology associate (i.e. SAP Netweaver), TOGAF, SAP EAF, HANA, SAP Migration.

- Desirable candidates will have architected or administered different types of SAP systems. Ideally in large complex environments, but candidates who have a varied or broad experience in different technologies or systems but in a small environment would also be considered.

- Knowledge of SAP databases is a required skill set, especially for candidates who come from a purely SAP Basis background. Candidates who have an architecture/solutioning or design background should have as a minimum, a basic appreciation of databases for SAP systems, so they would also be considered. Experience in DB2 is preferred, but any other database would be acceptable.

- A UNIX skill set at working knowledge level is required, preferably AIX, but any flavour of UNIX will suffice. Experience in other operating systems would be desirable but is not mandatory e.g. Windows, AS400.

- DB2, Oracle, MS SQL, SQL, MySQL, MaxDB, Informix, Livecache, HANA.

To help to identify experience with different tools, here are some examples:

- SAP LVM, TDMS, ARIS, OCC, LiveReorg, TOAD, Libella.

- Candidates who only have experience in SAP application, developer or programming skills would not be suitable for these positions.

- Candidates who only have SAP authorisations or security skills would not be suitable for these positions.

- Candidates who only have a certification but no experience in corresponding roles would not be suitable for these positions.

- Candidates who only have certification or experience in HANA without any architecture/solutioning/ design or SAP Basis experience are unlikely to be suitable candidates for this role.
