Truckola - Head - Transport Operations

Job Role:

This role involves the following :

- Kickstarting transport operations at various (remote) locations in the country

- Hiring local traffic managers from the transport industry across the country

- Finding and opening offices across the country

- Managing vendor tie ups across the country

- Managing other pre-operations activities like basic equipment, bank account formalities, etc.

- Managing client expectations for all clients across the country

- Establish the company's core processes at all branch locations

- Assist sales team in new client acquisitions

- Assist sales team in payment collections

- Be a core part of the overall leadership team

- Manage operations to meet benchmark profitability targets

Qualifications Required:

The following qualifications are required for this role :

- Proven record of a successful career in handling core transport operations

- Experience working in remote, non-urban locations with blue collar labor

- History of achieving targets in previous jobs, education

- Demonstrated ability to succeed in the face of adversity in the past

- An IQ level in top 5%

- Willing to travel extensively for long periods

- Experience working in an established transport company preferred

- High level of responsibility towards clients

- Relentless hard work towards targets

- Not afraid to work in remote locations independently without assistance

- Basic understanding of finance and business principles

- Street smart
