Company:  TAS Analytic Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Time Inc and operates out of Bangalore, India.TAS provides an individual the unique opportunity to be part of the offshore support team where processes are handled for magazine titles, both digital and print.  Position Statement:  - Lead and manage the Bangalore based primary research team to advance CI’s mission of Insightful Stories that Drive Decisions  Key Responsibilities:  - Manage the Bangalore team that supports all of the primary research needs which are off shored, including the support to the U.S. based Consumer Insight team, the new structure for managing consumer panels and the direct to lower priority brands research projects.   - Ensure that research team can deliver full project implementation for broad range of studies-- marketplace studies to support sales and content needs, category and client specific studies to support publishing needs, editorial feedback and evaluation to ensure high quality execution, new product development assessment with focus on new digital platforms, custom ROI ad effectiveness studies and edit polling  - Develop protocol for study deliverables dependent of study type (timing, costs, reporting)  - Develop partnerships with CI team members as well as other constituencies served to understand goals and develop plans of action to achieve   - Oversee the team’s deliverables to ensure that reports/presentations are insight driven, not simply data reporting  - Collaborate to aggregate and share research learning across CI team whether in Bangalore or U.S.  - Proactively provide consulting support to research team and partners leveraging research knowledge, methodological skills, consumer trend information and prior experiences to determine optimal research solutions  - Participate in CI’s departmental initiatives   - Oversee and track research spending for the full Bangalore team  - Train and supervise Bangalore primary research team  Skills and Expertise:  - The individual must have prior experience managing a research department that served multiple constituencies and must possess the ability to be a strategic partner with senior level research and brand clients.   - Prior work experience in U.S. is required and knowledge of and passion for the American marketplace and at least 2-3 of the key content areas served by Time Inc. is needed: Celebrity, Pop Culture, Current Events / News, Sports, Business, Cooking & Food Culture, Fashion/Beauty, Healthy Living and other women’s “home centric” topics.   Other skills:  - Proven team management and training skills  - Ability to build effective relationships   - Excellent English communication skills both spoken and written, with proven proficiency in writing clear and concise insights centric presentations, not simply data reporting  - Experience with a broad range of primary research approaches  - Knowledge of media research, whether content or publishing related, a plus  This executive director should have 10-15 years of primary research experience.
