About Navbharat Times Brand Function:  Navbharat Times Brand Function ensures profitability and saliency of Navbharat Times brand. The team is responsible for the following broad areas:  - Product initiatives: The team manages all activities related to new product launches and expansion of existing products to new markets.  - Strategic initiatives: The team keeps coming out with ideas for keeping the brand apace with dynamic reader aspirations. This team conducts Brand Health studies and conducts research to understand what the readers want so that the product is geared to maximize readership.  - Marketing initiatives: These initiatives include thematic & tactical communication for the brand encompassing various media. The team also conducts on ground activities related to overall brand activity to facilitate reader interactivity.  - Brand Profitability: This team acts as a custodian of brand profitability of existing and new editions and is responsible for cost control, vigilance over Direct Variable Cost of Times of India. The team also recommends cost control measures when necessary.  About Key Responsibilities  The role would encompass working on all types of brand promotions for Brand NBT for increasing visibility and salience of NBT Brand.  - Conceptualizing brand initiatives and reader engagement activities and on a project by project basis for select national campaigns.  - Implementation of brand initiatives in key markets mentioned above, working in partnership with Sales and Editorial teams to ensure maximum activity mileage.  - Brand initiatives would be 360 degree communication projects, encompassing print advertising and editorial, ground initiatives, radio, outdoor, online.  - Playing the role of a city business head, monitoring the P & L of relevant editions and advising corrective action to relevant departments wherever required.  - Developing a high understanding of the reader and giving strategic inputs to senior management, editorial and sales team on projects handled  - Working on digital initiatives for NBT Brand at a national level  - Competition monitoring and MIS for relevant projects.  Desired Skills and Experience:  - A team player, as the role involves working in very hands on manner within the company, across varied departments such as Editorial, Sales and Distribution and outside the company, while managing advertising, digital and event agencies.  - Ability to work long hours, including weekends on occasion.  - Excellent communication skills, both in written and spoken English.  - Basic analytical skills, enabling the incumbent to understand data relevant to city editions.  - Ability to work independently and in a structured manner.  Experience: 2 - 5 years post MBA in Brand Management Roles.
