Times Group - Head - Exhibition Sales

Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd the largest media house in India having iconic brands like Times Of India, Economic Times within the print category. while having presence in all mediums like Television ( Times Now, ET Now, Zoom & Movies Now), Radio ( Radio Mirchi), Internet (for e.g. India Times, Times Jobs, Magic Bricks Simply Marry), Magazines ( Femina, Fimfare etc.).

The position is with the Response department of Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd.

Times Response is the Advertising & Marketing arm of the organization. It is in the business of providing contextualized communication solutions that are unique and complimentary to cater to present and potential needs of our clients, thus creating differentiating experience across the value chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Planning & project Viability :

- Assess the market potential, key industry trends, identify and conceptualize the exhibition, negotiate with partners, and create a platform to connect with consumers and target audience in order to ensure that targets for the vertical are met.

Business Development :

- Conceptualize and initiate new exhibitions and new markets. Create more touch points for existing clients, and introduce new clients to the exhibition format. Repeat successful subjects in the same market in order to ensure that each event is successful and profitable for the organization, thereby leading to revenue generation.

Vendor Management :

- Identify the right vendor, negotiate on cost parameters, study the viability of the project, plan the implementation process, and monitor the project plan as per timelines

Marketing and Promotion :

- Create new business opportunities by approaching the client with a comprehensive marketing plan with print and offer an integrated solution in order to ensure that Response attains the maximum share of the client's media spend.

Team Management :

- Manage and motivate the team for multiple business initiatives. Provide feedback to the team members on performance, identify areas and coach them for enhancement / improvement, collate market information, and suggest necessary course corrections in order to maximize the effectiveness of the team.

Desired Qualification, Skills & Experience:

MBA (Marketing) with 13-15 years of experience in exhibition industry of which 7-8 years experience in the media industry will be preferred.
