Role: Economic Times Brand Management Lead (West)

Reports to: National Brand Head- ET

Team Management: Yes

Location: Mumbai

Required: Candidates with MBA in Marketing from Premium B Schools (MICA preferable).

Ideal candidate would be with minimum 10 years of marketing experience across sectors, with a mix of 4-5 years experience in an advertising agency and corporate. Experience in brand management preferred, problem-solving skills, the ability to ideate, learning-oriented, questioning the status quo.

Role and Responsibilities :

Product Management: Analyze existing researches like IRS, internal MIS and take corrective action through events, reader connect ideas and initiatives in order to maintain and increase the brand salience amongst our target sections of readers and audiences in each of the editions in the west.

- This would also involve the design and implementation of reader-connect programs per edition per annum.

New and existing initiatives: Conceptualize, create and implement consumer connect ideas and initiatives in order to ensure stickiness of readers to the ET brand; take existing ideas to the next level and ensure no fatigue levels in order to build sustainable brand properties.

Operations Management: Coordinate with constituent departments (Response Operations, Editorial, Production, RMD, Systems) to ease the working process, improve accountability and processes in order to ensure smooth functioning of brand ET.

- Will also involve working towards improving on time release of pages by Response Scheduling and ET desk operations for up country editions to ensure RMD gets the edition ahead of time to reach markets on time.

New Market and Product Launches: Understand feasibility for new products/ supplements to be launched in existing and new markets, work out a road-map for the launch and then launch the products in order to reach new markets and consumers

Financial management: Monitor and control DVC (newsprint cost and paper used), track P&Ls for each edition, track advertising revenues and yields of each edition including supplements in order to ensure healthy profitability for each of the ET editions.

Relationship-building and Team Management

Motivate reporting team to achieve their goals, support other members of the brand team and build relationships with other functional stakeholders in order to ensure smooth implementation of the ET marketing strategy
