UK's Customer Strategy Team - our goal is to put the customer (consumers and advertisers) at the heart of Time Inc. UK strategy to protect and grow all revenues by :  - Protecting and growing advertising revenues  - Improving the customer experience to grow direct consumer revenues  - We are the voice of the customer within the business and partner with internal & external clients by working with them in a consultative and collaborative way - providing relevant, deep, actionable and easy to use insight to drive decision making.   - The Consumer Insight Executive role sits within the Consumer Insight pillar, a new part of the team which focuses on revenue growth projects and key strategic priorities across the wider business.  Reporting line : Consumer Insight Partner (UK)  Key Responsibilities :  - Strategic insight generation to inform business decision making concerning consumer growth opportunity  Understand the overall strategy and objectives of Time Inc. UK & work with a range of stakeholders across Time Inc. UK to develop the strategic focus in their areas based on solid consumer understanding. This could include:  - Working with the rest of the Consumer Insight team to identify commercial opportunities with audiences and markets in line with business priorities  - Identifying insight knowledge gaps with audiences and markets and being proactive in working to fill them  - Utilizing our internal insight resources such as the Origin Lounge or data from bespoke Time Inc. UK projects   - Conducting desk research using industry data and publicly available insight/intelligence (e.g.,comScore, Omniture,Google Analytics, TGI, NRS, Ad Dynamix, Mintel,etc )  Conducting and analysis of bespoke qual and quant research :  - Build knowledge of research techniques and how this can be implemented into a commercial research environment  - Involvement in the running and implementation of Time Inc. Insight projects - both qual and quant  - Developing new insight to further the company's consumer understanding and to build strategic recommendations for growth   - Share responsibility with the team for using/driving usage of Time Inc.'s online research community (including online surveys and discussion forums)  - Support the team in becoming expert in Time Inc. UK audiences and markets, including ongoing knowledge of opportunities with both  Become an expert in Time Inc. UK's key audiences and markets, building confidence and credibility in your knowledge with internal stakeholders.   This could include :  - Producing and updating audience overviews/presentations relating to audiences with new insight  - Proactive in sourcing new audience insight and data using internal insight resources (Origin Lounge, industry systems etc.)  - Keep up-to-date through trade/consumer press with audience and market trends and developments  Supporting the communication of strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders :  - Developing strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders across Time Inc. UK  - Build relationships with members of the Customer Strategy team to maximize knowledge sharing and collaboration  - Working with third party agencies, as relevant  Skills & Expertise :  - Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential  - Experience of analyzing commercial qualitative and quantitative research - ability to tell a story using data  - Experience of using an online survey tool (e.g., Qualtrics, Decipher,etc) is desirable  - Research knowledge - experience of the following (or similar) data sources is desirable but not essential  - Knowledge of data tools and systems such as comScore, Omniture, Google Analytics,ABC, TGI (all forms), Addynamix, NRS (including PADD)  - Media knowledge and understanding of the advertising & media industry is also desirable but not essential  Other skills required :  - Good communication skills & developed organisational skills  - Insightful, strategic & analytical thinker with high attention to detail  - Enthusiastic and passionate, ideally with an interest in media and consumer research essential  - Able to think creatively also having a confident, and consistent with approach  - Able to work effectively as a member of a team as well as on their own   - Proactive nature - showing initiative and demonstrating a - can do- approach   - Enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop in the business  The candidate should have 1-2 years of primary research experience along with knowledge of syndicated data sources, preferably from a research supplier.
