Leading US Based Company Hiring for Team Manager for Chennai Location

Designation : Team Manager

Reports to : Local Team Lead (TC)

Location : Chennai, India

Principal Responsibilities :

- The Insurance Analyst/Finance Analyst based in Chennai manages the entire end-to-end insurance process (from Underwriting to Technical Accounting) independently. This role carries a lot of responsibility and includes the following tasks:

- Assessing new business and renewals from insurance brokers against set criteria/check-list in accordance with Underwriting Policy. As required, incoming endorsements are independently processed.

- Data input and data maintenance via - Synergy- Insurance Tool

- Reviewing, checking and entering incoming closings and liaise directly with insurance broker in case of questions

- Responsibility of Accounts Receivables process, including reviewing and confirming statement of accounts and verifying that respective amounts are booked

- Close collaboration with Insurance Operations Team in Switzerland and Finance Teams in India and Switzerland

Ways of Working :

The Job Holder will be part of the global FTR community and will be expected to work closely with his/her colleagues in various parts of the world.

- Regular interaction with third-party service providers such as brokers are part of the job, hence an outgoing, proactive and independent nature will be required.

- Whilst the above are principal responsibilities there may be other calls on the job holder's time and resources, depending on requirements.

Experience & Qualification :

To meet these responsibilities the incumbent requires :

- A university degree, preferably in Insurance Management (see with HR India)

- Well-rounded insurance background in Technical Accounting and Underwriting with a minimum of 5 years of experience. High affinity with numbers is a must.

- Excellent level of Microsoft Office tools since daily routine involves working with excel, analysing data and reconciling

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English since the job will require interaction with global hubs as well as external business partners

- Ability to work independently referring only non-routine matters to supervisor

- Quick thinker, logical & analytical mind

- Outgoing, proactive and persistent mind-set. A person who enjoys being in touch with colleagues and external business partners in different locations and is challenged by delivering very good work quality even under pressure
