Team Leader - Financial Management

Looking for CA's with 4+ years of accounting related experience for a large global management consulting company, for their Finance (Global Accounting and Control) division.

CTC will not be a constraint for the right candidate.

Responsibilities :

Accounting :

- Supervise the general ledger and payroll accounting. Ensure books of accounts are maintained as per Indian and US GAAP. Identify and address the areas for improvement in existing accounting practices to gain efficiencies. Responsible for smooth and timely monthly closing activities of company. Preparation of monthly variance analysis of trial balance and ensure all schedules and prepared correctly.

Audit and statutory reporting :

- Responsible for the completion of both the statutory and US GAAP audits within statutory time lines. Ensure all statutory reporting including RBI is done on time. Ensure compliance related to Companies Act is followed on timely basis.

Treasury Management :

- Responsible for checking if bank reconciliation and related cash/bank reporting to global and regional teams is done on time. Coordinate with the local banks to ensure seamless funds flow and fund management including preparation of fixed deposit and movement of funds across the corporate accounts.

- Intercompany transactions :

- Ensure Intercompany reconciliation is done on time. Ensure all supporting documents and related information is collected from intercompany. Remittance is done on time.

Other Responsibilities :

- Work on operational effectiveness which includes identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency of the function. Ensure that local practices comply with company's policies and local requirements.

- Enhance internal controls, continuously seeking to re-engineer local business process to obtain efficiencies and reduce costs. Play a proactive role in identifying and addressing areas for improvement to the local accounting processes to gain efficiencies, which is inclusive of but not limited to assisting with local development and implementation of financial applications.

- Supervising & Training : Responsible for supervising team. Providing them with training and guiding them towards operational effectiveness.

Desired Profile :

- CA with 4 - 6 years of post qualification experience.

- Person should have a thorough knowledge about Indian GAAP, IFRS, IndAS, compliance related to Companies Act.

- Proficiency in desktop applications and financial systems and ERP general ledger will be an added advantage.

- Must have worked extensively on Windows OS and the following software applications: MS Excel, MSWord and PowerPoint, Oracle or any other large financial systems environment/ERP
