TCS - Domain Consultant - Capital Market Group

Capital Market Group is part of Global Consulting Practice (GCP), the consulting arm of TCS, primarily focusing on providing domain consulting services to clients, ranging from Investment Banks, Exchanges, Depositories, Market Regulators and Asset & Wealth Managers. These services primarily cover the domains such as, Securities Trading Clearing & Settlement, Risk Management, Compliance & Surveillance and Wealth Management at a global level.

Job Responsibilities: The primary job responsibilities are:

- Engagement execution and management: Executing team-based as well as individual consulting assignments within India or at various overseas locations, working directly with the clients.

- Domain offerings management: Developing offering collateral, trends & best practices research, preparation of domain collaterals.

- Business development: Prospecting, targeting clients, collaborating globally with Delivery and Sales Teams), Pre-sales work (i.e. presentations to clients, RFI/RFP response preparation).

Commensurate with the experience level, the consultants will be assigned additional responsibilities as part of their job description such as:

- Thought leadership: Contributing to industry level White Papers, PoV’s, trends analysis, solution accelerator development

- Team and organization building: Mentoring and grooming other consultants, knowledge sharing and conducting training for Capital Market Consulting Team

Qualification:

- Must be an MBA (Finance) from a premier Business School or CA/CFA.

- Any additional certification such as FRM/PRM/NCFM/NSE and/or experience in IT Consulting or Product/Financial Solutions or work experience with Capital Market entities or assignments with global clients at overseas locations will be preferred.

Domain Competencies:

Aspirant should have worked in domain capacity in capital market in at least one of the following Domain Streams:

- Clearing & Settlement : Experience in clearing and settlement across various Asset Classes in Exchange-Traded and OTC categories with understanding of post trade processing functions of entities such as CCP, CSD, Buy-side/Sell-side firms, Custodians.

- Compliance & Surveillance: Experience in compliance function of market participants such as AML/KYC, Control Room Operations, Trade Surveillance and Regulators’ market surveillance and oversight functions.

- OTC Derivatives: Experience in Exchange Traded /OTC Derivatives, (FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Commodities) trade processing lifecycle aspects such as Execution, Allocation, Matching/Confirmation, Clearing, Collateral Mgmt. and Risk Management..

- Risk Management: Experience in various Risk Management functions especially MRM with in-depth understanding of risk areas such as Enterprise Risk Framework, Risk Business Model, Pricing & Margining Models, Risk Calculation Engines, Collateral Management, Risk Reporting etc.

- Wealth Management: Experience in Wealth Management functions such as Client Profiling, Financial Planning, Portfolio Construction, Rebalancing, Compliance, Client Reporting, Investment Processing etc.

General Competencies:

- Self-driven professional with good analytical, communication and presentation skills

- Strong thought leadership, envisioning, planning and solutioning skills

- Willingness to relocate within India or overseas for short/long term consulting assignments.

Other Desired Skills:

- Project Management experience in a client-facing role working with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.

- Prior work experience of business consulting/IT solutioning with Global Investment Banks / Custodians / Clearing House / Depositories / Back-office of Buy / sell-side firms.

- Pre-sales and project implementation experience in BFS domain
