Objective:  Work closely with business stakeholders to set the vision, strategy and roadmaps for the team's products, and structure the teams to deliver successfully against the roadmap and project plan.   Build teams of great software engineers that understand and are set up for success to deliver against the team's objectives  Key Areas of Responsibility:  Operational:  - Collaborate with various departments and ensure that business requirements are met and prioritized.   - Implement and lead a unified development process by managing internal and external resources for launch and post-launch product improvements  - Lead design and engineering teams to develop innovative and breakthrough solutions to design good application, with good quality and performance  - Plan & deliver product designs which meet specified performance and business needs within development budget and timelines  - Select, manage and maintain relationships with high quality, professional service providers  - Be a champion of engineering and operational excellence: establish group-wide metrics for measurement of engineering and operational excellence and a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement   - Be comfortable working in a "deep dive" environment   - Establish a consistent, project management framework and excellent development processes across multiple development teams to deliver high quality software, in rapid iterations, for business partners in multiple geographies   - Show strong business and technical judgment that will accelerate time to market of releases, while incrementally moving our services towards the long-term vision   - Raise the bar on technical excellence, show thought leadership, and communicate well to different audiences   - Be responsible for mentoring and developing senior engineers in the team  - Represent the team and work closely with CIO to deliver the IT/ business alignment  People:  - Development of the team members, timely reward and recognition, improving employee morale and productivity along with team building.  Educational Qualification:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Good exposure in LAMP stacks and .net platform  Knowledge:  Should have worked on Lamp Stack, .Net  Should have delivered good number of applications & portals.  Mandatory Experience Required:  - A minimum of 7 to 10 years of management experience (managing Leads and engineers)   - Must have relevant product development and design experience   - Should have experience with high scalability requirements   - Should have experience designing distributed systems   - Should have experience with employee development, performance management and delivering results.   - Should have good problem-solving skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements and effectively prioritize program deliverable essential   - Presentation and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build partnerships with senior leaders across a variety of groups throughout organization  Essential Skills Required:  - Experience in managing teams that design and support large-scale distributed systems in production environments   - Proven experience establishing metrics for measurement of engineering and operational excellence   - Proven experience in proactively delivering innovative technical solutions in dynamic business environments   - Experience building a team technical strategies and executing against them while balancing speed and continuous improvement
