Objective  To provide a strong leadership to engineering subgroup of R&D. The objective is to create a team that is able to engineer and deliver cutting edge products in business application domain.  Key Areas of Responsibility:  Strategic  - Establish a high degree of accountability across the function through leadership, performance measurement, and clear communications.  Operational  - Work closely with Product Management function to ensure quality of development meets or exceeds requirements.  - Work closely with Sr. Director - Engineering to create a staffing plan to ensure that sufficient capacity is available and also managing resource allocation within the sub group.  - Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams ensuring sound engineering design, process and quality practices are followed  - Manage the career development of the team and work collaboratively with the Sr. Director - Engineering to ensure projects are complete, delivered and supported.  People  - Plan and implement development programs to ensure team members skill sets are upgraded appropriately.   - Establish a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style while leading and mentoring teams that includes continually working to grow the team's professional skills and capabilities.  Education:  - Bachelor's Degree required.  - MS, MBA or other advanced degree will be an additional advantage.  Knowledge  - Strong product development and sound engineering practices.  - Good understanding of Team Development.   - Working knowledge of Full - Life cycle Software Development  Mandatory Experience Required:  - Must have in depth technology engineering experience.  - Proven ability to innovate with cutting edge solutions.  - Experience managing an engineering team.  Essential Skills Required:  - Superior oral and written communication skills.  - Ability to set and articulate vision.  - Self-motivated, acting autonomously with little direction.  - Should be able to translate broad direction into specific, measurable metrics for the team.  - Good organizational and time management skills.  - Ability to effectively set and manage expectations.  - Strong organizational and time management skills.  - Demonstrated ability to make clear concise decisions.
