System Engineering Architect - Mfg/Auto

Education - Bachelor / Master of Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering

JD:

- Architect systems, define and document system and sub-system interfaces. Work with the technical leads to follow best system engineering practices.

- Translate market requirements into system and sub-system specifications.

Define and apportion tolerances between subsystems.

Define release strategy and plan the subsystems releases, ensuring stable system releases

- Conceptualize the product and translate the requirements into CTQs for design.

Tolerance studies and system modelling.

Participate in engineering stage gate reviews.

Actively participate in the Patent process for the Engineering Team.

- Lead regular reviews with key members of delivery team to review timing, technical and quality issues.

Coordinate Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEAs), functional safety.

Formulates Safety Goals, Functional and Technical Safety Concepts.

Identifies key technical risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.

- Expertise in system engineering in new product development in areas such as high volume manufacturing

- Good technical ability (or experience) relating to complicated electro-mechanical systems.

Understanding of tolerance studies and critical parameter management.

- Experiences in system engineering tools including functional block diagrams, data flow diagrams, V-model of system engineering, design of experiments.

- Experience in structured problem solving ishikawa diagrams, management by fact process, FMEAs etc.

- Both technical and commercial awareness.

Ability to design & propose alternative solutions when faced with barriers.

Understanding of product reliability and reliability testing.
