Our organization is presently seeking a Business Manager, Procurement who can manage sourcing, vendor relations and product assortment for Smartphones.
This position is based out of Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Job Responsibilities:
Business strategy:
- Understand the dynamics of inventory model & marketplace models and come up with a hybrid model to suit SyberPlace customer needs.
- Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.
- Understand connected supplier dynamics, develop new vendor relationship insights
- Convert strategies into action by liaising with cross-functional leadership and drive the changes required
Vendor network management & operations:
- Lead a vendor-relations team to identify strategic partners, negotiate better terms of trade and deals
- Work with suppliers/sellers to constantly improve the product portfolio
- Create a comprehensive Vendor management strategy and governance framework
People leadership:
- Build, retain and groom a strong team to deliver across functions
- Set goals, define KPIs and ensure team tracks effectively towards goals
- Hire & build a team of specialist/experts to drive aggressive & efficient buying
You would also report regularly to senior managers on how well teams are performing and whether key targets are being met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/ Master’s degree from any of the top schools with at least 65%
- 5-7 years of experience in telecom industry
- Experience of managing sourcing or category management experience with key offline retailers
- Good network in the industry
