The Sourcing Manager will manage market research, identification and validation of key vendors/partners, flawless new product introduction in close cooperation with the stakeholders and subject-matter experts of the business unit.  The sourcing manager collaborates closely with various Business Unit Heads, Project Managers and Design Engineers to ensure sourcing solutions are competitive both technically and commercially.  Sourcing manager will be expected to:  - Project Manage new product introduction programs.   - Work with Product Engineering to find suitable alternatives for Power system solutions.  - Manage supplier performance with input from relevant areas such as quality and planning.  - Assist Strategic Sourcing team with the development and execution of category strategy.  - Lead commercial negotiations with its supplier network.  - Establish and execute contract terms and conditions.  - Contribute to implementation planning and change management initiatives   - Train procurement staff members and business partners in procurement processes, project deployment improvements and lean initiatives.  - Uphold internal and external polices, regulations and laws  Skills Required  The following lists enumerate a few of the requirements to be a member of such a team:  Professional/Education:  - Bachelors in Engineering is required, preferably Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical. MBA from a top-university preferred; other professional graduate degree acceptable  - 3+ Years of total work experience in technology related firm.   - 1+ years in project management.  - Experience in direct sourcing of electronic components a plus.  - Knowledge of multiple languages (English, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Spanish) is a plus but not required.  Technical/Analytical:  - Understands engg. specifications, knowledge of power electronics a plus.  - Solid structuring and analytical skills to work on complex issues  - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; in particular deep data analysis using Excel  - Identify key technologies or areas of knowledge SunEdison should control and protect with IP  - Ability to structure issues and develop actionable recommendations and implementation plans  - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)  - Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on people development  Interpersonal/communication:  - Outstanding cross-functional leadership and communication skills; ability to build credibility and influence with technical groups.  - Willingness to - constructively dissent- and challenge senior management thinking   - Able to get buy-in and commitment from both internal and external stakeholders  - Ability to handle ambiguity and respond quickly and flexibly  - Intercultural savvy, ability to work with other cultures and adapt to local environments to reach desired outcomes.  Other:  - 10% to 30% Global Travel required.  - Valid passport is required.
