Strategic Account Manager is appointed by the Director of Sales to help develop and manage our relationship with strategic accounts in Mumbai.

Designation:

Strategic Account Manager - Sales

Role:

- Responsible for developing and managing our relationship with strategic accounts in the region.. The incumbent should have a track record of success in managing and navigating large complex accounts at all levels of management. Develops and executes sales strategies and tactics that maximize opportunity within the customer environment. Develops Strategic Account Plans and coordinates the execution Since this is a strategic position in the company, there will be regular, ongoing interactions with executive management. This position has the potential to grow into the Sales Head for India

Reports to: Director - Sales

Responsibilities and Key Result Areas:

- Develops and cultivates highly strategic relationships; can help facilitate a - push / pull- go to market strategy.

- Position will be responsible for developing and managing a go to market strategy tailored to our solutions and partners. This will include qualifying business opportunities, creating and delivering sales presentations, and negotiating and closing agreements.

- Responsible for accurate and timely business projections and capable of navigating complex, multi-faceted sales - both vertically and horizontally.

- Defining and driving account / selling strategy

- Developing strategic account plans and coordinating the execution

- Strong Negotiation skills, financial & business acumen

- Must have excellent selling, presentation and customer interaction skills and experience.

- Proven background in developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers including CxO level.

- Requires deep understanding of our customer's business and technology environment.

- Supporting the management of the extended sales force within the region.

- Expected to meet or exceed set business objectives.

Accountability and Authorities:

- Accountable for developing and managing a go-to-market strategy tailored to our solutions and partners, ensuring winning, negotiating and closing deals.

External Interfacing:

- With internal teams, including sales, FAEs, marketing, Business Units, Legal, Logistics and Finance

- With Customer

- With business partners / vendors

Experience:

- 10+ years of hands-on technical sales, cultivating sales channels and selling to service providers within the telecommunications industry.

- Must have excellent influencing, selling, presentation and customer interaction skills and experience.

- Requires deep understanding of our customer's business, technology environment, .

- Experience in communicating virtualization strategies, including carrier evolution to SDN and NFV architectures.

- Proven background in developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers including experience in closing large technology or service deals.

- Proven ability to read situations, think strategically, formulate comprehensive account plans and drive relationships vertically and horizontally.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

- Ability to provide and work from a home office located in the region.

Travel:

- Ability to travel up to 50% within territory. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Qualification:

- Graduate in Telecom / Electronics / Computer Science Engineering, preferably with MBA in Sales

- Mumbai based
