Functional Job Title : Oracle Business Analyst (BA) - AVP (12 - 15 years)

Basic Purpose of Job:
Across the globe, institutional investors rely on State Street to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability. The Business Analyst - AVP would be supporting multiple high priority, finance driven (driven by U.S. and European Regulators), complex, global and cross-organizational initiatives to meet various functional requirements. The Business Analyst - AVP will work with numerous functions within State Street to help drive activities to produce and update documentation of internal processes, data controls, periodic testing and validation of controls.
Responsibilities & Tasks Include:
- Subject matter expertise on accounting domain: General Ledger, Sub Ledger etc
- Partner with finance and IT to gather business requirement, create requirement documents, create and execute UAT test scripts
- Represent the functional needs of Finance ensuring business needs are planned into the future solution
- Develop Business Process flows and procedures required to operate the solution in partnership with finance
- Understand the data elements associated with general/sub ledgers
- Data conversion mapping and testing. Assist business with production deployment.
- Drive design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution
- Able to conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested by finance user group
- Engage with training team to support training plan and delivery
- Customer focused, team driven mentality; serving as role model for colleagues, coaching and motivating team members to make needed adjustments in plans to meet milestones and to achieve goals.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience
- 12 - 15 years of overall experience Managing oracle finance projects.
- Detailed knowledge of Oracle EBS 11i and R12. Well versed in oracle finance terminology and methodology
- Experience of writing detailed business solutions, specifications and data mapping and conversions
- Experience working with business process owners and end-users to establish sufficient levels of detailed requirements as well as creating test plans
- Experience with Oracle Discoverer, standard reporting modules, and using Oracle's BI tools
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Science/Finance/Engineering.
- Understanding of finance and accounting business functions.
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints.
- Strong ability to quickly learn new BI tools and data sources. Spotfire, Cognos experience is a plus
- Meticulous attention to detail, placing high value on accuracy; diligent about upholding control points and procedures in the Software development lifecycle
Skills/ Knowledge
- Detail Knowledge of accounting concepts
- Understanding of multi currency accounting, fixed assets processing, accounts receivable processing. subledger operational processing.
- Oracle Modules: Oracle Financials including Cash Management (CM), Fixed Assets, Payables (AP), General Ledger (GL), iExpense, and Accounts Receivable (AR), E-Tax, Approvals Management (AME)
- Kofax MarkView or similar imaging and scanning solutions, Work Flow
- Experience with with Oracle Discoverer, standard reporting modules, and using Oracle's BI tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) PL/SQL, toad
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and to liaise with and influence senior subject matter experts
- Ability to work on subledger conversions and reconcilements
- Flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities in an Agile and informal setting.
