ABOUT THE ROLE: Pivotal in handling Research & Strategic Planning as a part of Star India's Consumer Insights team   Use research to provide a strong consumer focus that improves acquisition of new consumers for the STAR portfolio as well as increases retention of existing viewers  - Analyzing viewership trends and planning actionable inputs across programming and promotion  - Study trends, markets, and specific TG's of shows both on Channel and competition.  - Setting Network priorities as well as individual channel priorities  - Working on key strategic initiatives for the network   - Handling research needs for P.R. & marketing support  - Handling commissioned research - qualitative or quantitative, dealing with research agencies  - Extensive use of TAM data to analysis channel performance and making recommendations to programming with the aim to boost channel Ratings  - Designing & implementing qualitative/ quantitative research studies to address key business and consumer questions  - Managing on going track studies for the various channels  - Interact on a broad level with Internal customers-Sales, Programming & Distribution  - Using consumer research to get actionable insights for content, marketing and communication  - Evaluating existing/ new content and providing inputs to strengthen channel & show performance  Qualification  - An MBA/Post Graduate with 6-8 years of experience   - Industries to source from: FMCG, Marketing research, Advertising  Knowledge and skills   - Progressive experience in strategic insights, market research, forecasting or a related field is required  - Experience with market (and consumer) research in order to be able to design and choose the optimal study for a given issue
