Business Title: Director, Sr. Manager, Investment Strategy, WM  Reports To: ED, Head Investment Strategy and Wealth Sales, WM  EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS: Customers, Fund Providers, Media, Vendors (Research and data-feed providers, technology providers etc) & Industry associations  Job Role: The incumbent will be responsible for formulating & communicating the local investment strategy for advising IAs/RMs to guide clients across all segments.   The incumbents- capabilities will cut across macroeconomics and asset classes such as debt, equities, commodities & foreign exchange. Deep understanding of global and local economy is also a key requirement.  Key Responsibilities:  INVESTMENT STRATEGY  - Develop and establish Investment Strategy as an integral part of a sustainable WM business model that drives long term profitability and help WM attain a thought leadership position. Lead and manage the following key deliverables:  - India Investment Committee (IIC) - run the discussion, voting and minutes. IIC lays the monthly foundation of our tactical and strategic investment allocation decisions and monthly outlook.  - India's Market Outlook (GMO: India) - author and publish our flagship monthly outlook on asset classes such as debt, equities, commodities and foreign exchange. The publication also to contain details and performance of our key investment strategies and themes.  - Actionable Investment Map (AIM) and Strategic Guidebook - author and compile these 2 key internal publications for SCB's frontline. These are key reference documents for investments and wealth management products.   - Opinion editorials and columns - author and publish domain editorials with leading financial dailies to support media engagement for India's wealth management unit.   - Digital drive - Responsible for India's Market Commentary Engine (local market commentary content uploads on SCB India's website).  - Frontline engagement   - Actively connect with internal and external clients   - Conduct periodic investment calls with respective segments.  - Weekly internal updates and communications.  - Client pitch-decks and client meetings/calls.  - Present and moderate at periodic client events for India's WM unit.  STAKEHOLDER COMMITMMENTS   - Key voting member in SCSI (Standard Chartered Securities India) committees - Equity Forum and Non-Discretionary Portfolio services.  - Drive Private bank's direct equity investment advisory council. Review and track key recommendations.  - Key stakeholder in Managed Investment Team's advisory council and investment review meetings.   BOTTOM LINE FOCUS   - Maximize business performance opportunity.   - Manage all direct costs, with a continuous effort directed to reduce and curtail the same.  Knowledge/Experience  - Domain expertise in macroeconomics, financial markets and key asset classes such as debt, equities, commodities & foreign exchange.  - Proficient in tactical and strategic asset allocation framework.  - Extremely articulate in verbal and written communication.  - Strategic orientation and aptitude.  - Effective team player and manager.
