Position: Sr Manager – Media Planning

Principal Responsibility:
Execution of all national media plans across TV, Radio, Print, Cinema, Digital media
- Media brief to agency
- Evaluate plans and give feedback
- Approval of media plans & internal alignment on the same
- Coordination on all operational / implementation for action the plan
- Measurement of results / plan deliveries
- Course-correction recommendations, as required
Setting and achieving of Media buying benchmarks across all media, to ensure efficient and effective media deals with all our partners
Alignment & approval of the above with Idea commercial team
- Evaluating competition scenario and building the buying strategy for Idea
- Setting of annual buying benchmarks with the media agency
- Evaluating & tracking these benchmarks on a quarterly and annual basis
- Internal alignment and approvals from the commercial team
Identifying, evaluating & negotiating for all national media property associations – across TV, Radio, Print, Digital media
Alignment & approval of the above with Idea commercial team
- Meeting media partners regularly to discuss upcoming properties
- Identifying association opportunities basis brand requirement & communication-fit
- Negotiating (along with agency) and closing deals
- Internal alignment & approvals within brand team, commercial team & CMO
- Identifying & executing opportunities to build VAS interaction in media properties
- Liaison with VAS team for the same
Conceptualizing and executing media innovations to amplify the national brand campaigns
- Briefing all media partners on Idea national campaigns
- Conceptualize innovative media activities to amplify brand communication theme
- Internal alignment & approvals on innovation creatives / cost
- Execution of the same, along with media agency
Building and tracking of competition reports, market intelligence, etc
- Monthly reporting of competition & media MIS from media agency
- Building regular market intelligence w.r.t. category & competition brands
Ensure regular Media reviews to track the brand campaigns and competition performance
- Coordinating for regular media reviews with media agency
- Alignment of internal team members for the same
- Regular recommendations for course-correction, as required
Maintaining the day-to-day relationship with our media agency (AOR) and key external media partners from TV, Print, Radio, Digital, etc
- Single-point of contact for agency on all day-to-day matters pertaining to media
- Regularly meeting with external media partners – across all media
Build processes within the media function and ensure that sanctity of the same is maintained across all stakeholders – internal & external
- Operational & implementation processes for liaison of media team with creative, finance, billing, etc
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Post Graduate (MBA) with 5 – 10 years of experience
