Sr Associate - Investment Banking - Startup

Client – Start-up M&A, PE, Corporate advisory outfit; position based in Delhi

Designation – Sr. Associate, Investment Banking

Job Description

- The incumbent will be required to work extensively in an integrated but small team environment on ideas, financial models, pitch books and presentations across sectors

- Focus on supporting origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) assignments, divestitures, financial restructurings and associated financing solutions, PE facilitation

- Support the senior member team by performing financial valuation

- The incumbent will work on a variety of transactions across industries/ sectors which could range from M&A advisory, corporate advisory, investment advisory, PE/ buyout facilitation etc

Duties & Responsibilities

- Analyzing, building and using financial models; preparing presentation materials and participating in deal pitches & executions; conducting industry and product research

- Carrying out financial modeling (vis relative valuation analysis, LBOs, DCFs, Merger plans), and developing and presenting appropriate pitchbooks to senior bankers

- Overtime creates enough understanding of the sector to identify new business opportunities

The candidate will also be required to:

- Undergo continuous learning and enhance job specific skills over-time

- May be required to travel across the country as per business needs

- Give suggestions to improve data systems, process workflow

- Taking ownership of work done and having high execution capabilities

Qualifications/ Attributes

- CAs, CFAs (CFA Institute, USA)

- MBAs from top tier B schools (with good CGPA score)

- Candidate should be willing to work in an unstructured work environment typical to any start-up
