Experience : 15 - 20 years  Location : Port in Orissa  - Experience in managing an industrial relations role for Infrastructure company or factory/plant   - Experience in labour management  - Ability to manage union and committee members   - In-depth knowledge of Labour Laws and Statutory compliance & proven experience of handling labour disputes   - Expertise in dispute handling procedures and negotiations, and is comfortable dealing with conflicts  - Exposure to good employee relations practices and ability to manage a large contractual workforce will be desired.   - Excellent relations with various external stakeholders viz. Government, Labour Commission, NGOs, local bodies among others   Responsibilities :   - Drive industrial relations for the Port  - Develop and practice proactive Industrial Relations both internal and external environment.   - Take stock of IR situation in the port   - Implement various initiatives and policies for workforce retention, statutory benefits, motivation, development etc.   - Ensure smooth relations with unions   - Maintain discipline and resolve grievances of all levels   - Responsible for dealing with contract labour issues viz. absenteeism, suspension, issuing charge sheet, reply to notices etc.   - Liaise with Labour Unions and Government Officials for, negotiations and conflict(s) resolution  - Liaise with Unions and Government officials for discussions and negotiations, and resolving IR & Legal matters   - Wages and salary management   - Compensation planning and benchmarking   Legal & Statutory compliance :   - Maintain and update all statutory compliance related to labour   - Submission of all statutory returns   - Manage Government inspections and audit   - Would be responsible for the HSE for all employees - permanent as well as contractual   - Devise strategy and deployment of Contractual workforce  - Understand and anticipate political environment and mitigations plans for various operations   Skills :   - Understanding of Labour Laws   - Strong Negotiation skills and tactful in dealing with sensitive matters.  - Administration of relevant HR systems and policies  - Strong thinking and problem Solving Skills   - Self Starter - Strong initiative taking - Follow through  - Has a presence of mind to be able to mitigate high pressure situations  - Is empathetic towards employees and is great at building and maintaining relationships  - Highest level of professionalism and personal honesty, integrity and ethics   - Self-motivated, result driven individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.   - Team player and able to keep motivation and morale high.   Education :   - Degree or diploma in IR and/or Labour laws would be preferred   - MBA - with specialization in Human Resource Management  Salary Offered: 15 - 25 LPA
