Job Description :  Organization : Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN):  About Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) :  - Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), (formerly Multi Screen Media Private Ltd.), is a subsidiary of Sony Corporation which owns and operates the Sony Entertainment network of television channels.   - As a leading television network in India, SPN comprises of Sony Entertainment Television (SET), one of India's leading Hindi general entertainment television channels; MAX, India's premium Hindi movies and special events channel, MAX 2, a second Hindi movie channel showcasing great Indian Cinema; SAB, a family comedy entertainment channel, PIX, the English movie channel; AXN, the leader amongst English Entertainment Channels, AATH, the Bangla movie channel, MIX a refreshing Hindi music channel, SIX and SONY ESPN - The cluster of sports entertainment channels and LIV,, the Digital Entertainment Channel, and, SPN's Motion Pictures division, formerly MSM Motion Pictures.   - Sony Pictures Networks India is in its 21st year in India.   Role Overview :   - Reporting to Head of IT & Post Production, the incumbent will lead the technology platform architecture for SPN's digital business (SonyLiv)  Key Responsibilities :  - Evaluate & implement technology platforms for content discovery through various New Media devices i.e Mobiles, Tablets, PC- s, and Connected TVs etc.  - Solution architect end to end components i.e, content ingest to delivery  - Organize and Lead a technical team in developing the product & platform with prominence on excellence, efficiency, and reliability  - Analyse& adopt emerging and global product trends & techniques, addressing consumer requirements locally and globally.  In-depth understanding of various technology component within an OTT platform such as :  - Digital encoders (elemental, harmonics etc. )  - Content Management System   - Online Video Platforms (Brightcove, Ooyala etc.)  - Cloud based hosting platforms (AWS, Azure)  - Delivery methodology using various players  - Delivery platform on mobile, browsers, CTV and others   - Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including customer organization  Qualifications/ Requirements :   - IT Graduate or an MBA with engineering background   - Should have In-Depth understanding of OTT platform  - Complete Understanding of business model of an OTT platform  - Knowledge of various content delivery methodology on low to high last mile connectivity  - Knowledge of content discovery methodology like recommendation engines, personalization  - Knowledge of Software development life cycles and project management  - Should have handled a team for at least 5 years   - Experience in Media & Entertainment industry is preferred   Skills & Abilities :   - Excellent customer relations and inter-personal skills, ability to navigate complex organizations and get the job done by working with others   - Goal driven leader who maintains a productive climate and confidently motivates, mobilizes and coaches employees to meet high performance standards   - Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to interpret business requirements and articulate /translate them to technical terms   - Inquisitive and analytical mind; out-of-the-box thinking   - Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks   - Willing to learn new technologies; must have excellent documentation skills   Personal Attributes :   - Bright, quick, articulate, excellent presentation and interpersonal skills and able to adapt to different internal and external constituencies   - Viewed as a team player who also possesses the independence of thought and opinion to provide candor and honest feedback when making key business decisions   - Passionate about business results, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership.
