Purpose of the Role
The role is a individual contributor in the Service Strategy & Solutions function for strong Technology / Services SME's. This person will drive the goals of the solutions group for an identified set of Technologies and Services
Qualification - BE/B Tech.
Work Experience - No. of years - 10 - 15 Years of relevant experience
Nature of experience -
- Needs to have strong experience in the IT Infrastructure Life cycle services organization with domain depth in the key area of focus.
- Needs to have been involved in complete service life cycle ranging from service creation, service delivery and pre sales activities
- Needs to have done significant client facing role in their career to have the right Customer IN perspective"
Competencies / behavioral skills -
Technical Skills
- Experience in architecting Infrastructure encompassing Server Hardware such as x86 based systems & blades,on Windows or Linux platforms, Hypervisors such as VMWare, Xen, Hyper-V, Mailservers, Domain-DNS-DHCP servers, Directory Server, File & Print Servers.
- Good understanding of Databases, SAN/NAS storages, Tape backups, Enterprise Systems Management, Security & Networking Devices/systems, Backup, Replication, DR & BCP Mechanisms.
- Ability to provide holistic and right scale solution that addresses scalability, availability and security requirements by using mechanisms such as virtualization, consolidation, hardened and robust infrastructure, load balancing & clustering, DR strategy, backup and storage strategy.
- Experience is developing technical solutions, reference architectures
- Exposure and Experience in handling Enterprise System Management tools, Dynamic Resourcing Tools
- Handled Data Center Consolidation, Virtualization, Migration activities
- Exposure to Private Cloud Reference Architectures across Microsoft, HP, V-Block, UCS-Flexpod, IBM stacks

- Ability to drive multiple initiatives/ programs at the same time
- Ability to prioritize and set expectations with stake holders
- Ability to focus on outcomes and carry a cross functional team to deliver results

- Develop new services as per the established Service Lifecycle Management and Service
- Portfolio Management framework, working closely with all stakeholders across marketing, innovation and run teams
- Ensure effective Standardization and GTM of the services created
- Develop Microland Thought leadership and Point of View Articles / Whitepapers
Capability Maturity & Services Industrialization -
- Work with Run, Biz Ex teams (Managed Service & PSO) to continually enhance service maturity measured against a defined framework
- Build roadmaps to align people, process, and technology to business initiatives
- Support the Run teams Technology Services Group and Business Excellence driven KM initiatives for capability and competency dev.
- Establish an automation roadmap across service lines to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Strategize customer relationship transformation initiative for key accounts working with sales & program teams
Solution Engineering -
- Support Solution architects/ Deal Managers with Technical response inputs
- Standardize solution response. Develop reusable templates
- Assist in the pre-sales efforts by speaking with customers, preparing Proof of Concept information, gathering requirements and assisting in the preparation of statements of work
- Perform client environment assessment for to-be state readiness
- Create Reusable components for solution responses and continually update to enhance ML Value prop
