Assistant Vice President - Trade Finance Operations

- Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is one of the largest Japanese banks in the world and serves customers in APAC, EMEA and Americas region.

- The bank is majorly involved in commercial banking activities. In India, the bank has launched its operations in March 2013 and is growing steadily since then. We are looking out to recruit dynamic people for the branch to aid the business expansion plan in the country.

Key Responsibilities :

- Checking and approving the transactions related to Trade Finance

- Checking of import & export documents in all respects and authorizing in core systems.

- Keeping track of maturities and payment related to all types of import payments & export receipts.

- Checking of all the clauses/contents of Import LC issuance & LC amendment.

- Checking of operations related to discounting/ purchase of export bills.

- Authorization of SWIFT Messages.

- Arranging to provide all import/export related reporting to RBI and other regulatory authorities.

- Checking all trade related loans ( Buyer's & Suppliers Credit, ECB Loans ets)

- To check & send the sale/purchase reporting for FCY transactions to the Treasury front office.

- Supervising & checking of all other misc. transactions related to export/import transactions.

- Back up authorizer for FCY Remittance, NEFT/RTGS.

- Checking and authorizing deals for Treasury Back office operations.

- Checking of fund position reporting needs to be sent to Treasury front office.

- Control of Incoming and outgoing swift messages.

- Managing funds in RBI capital and current account.
