The Role:

The Automotive Solutions business in the Sewells Group organization is a key pillar of our thought-leadership, and an important driver of our profitability. The Automotive Solutions team is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing and deploying cutting-edge solutions to our automotive clients- challenges and opportunities within the retail domain. The Automotive Solutions team at Sewells Group is recognized for its creativity, thought-leadership and reliability.

As National Head - Automotive Solutions, you will be a member of the company's leadership team in India. You will be an independent business leader, responsible for the performance of the Automotive Solutions team. You will carry P&L responsibility and contribute to the growth and profitability of the India operation. This role will also involve significant client face-time, and will require you to build strong relationships with client executives.

As part of this role, your responsibilities will fall into the following broad areas:

Business Consulting & Solution Development:

- Work closely with client executives; identify problems through primary and secondary research.

- Articulate problem statement and secure conviction to find solutions to such problems within the client organization.

- Work closely with Sewells Group domain experts + members of the Automotive Solutions team to brainstorm and develop solutions for identified problems.

- Strengthen Sewells Group's position and credibility within the client organization by delivering cutting-edge, contemporary and creative work.

Business Development:

- Develop industry relationships and strengthen Sewells Group's position as the most authoritative opinion-leader in the automotive retail space.

- Engage with existing and new clients to find opportunities for Sewells Group to participate in the client's business and offer our expertise.

- Generate new business by way of consultative selling and strategic business development.

General Management:

- Strategic country leadership team: Work as a member of the country leadership team to define overall business aspirations / vision, contribute strategic thought and translate these into business plans.

- Business planning: Develop the 18-month business plan for Automotive Solutions Business Unit, aligned with the business plan of the company.

- Performance management: Drive measurement of key performance metrics and reporting of the same; conduct weekly / monthly performance reviews with teams; offer guidance / support to maintain performance levels defined in the business plan (productivity, efficiency, profitability).

Team Mentoring & Development:

- Recruit and induct new members into the Automotive Solutions team in line with growth requirements and aspirations.

- Identify top performers, and invest in their development and growth in the organization.

- Conduct regular capability building initiatives to continue strengthening the capability of the team

The Person:

- MBA from a premier institute with atleast 8 years of industry experience.

- Exposure to automotive industry and automotive retail environment.

- Strategic thinking capabilities with good understanding of consulting and outsourcing business models.

- Creative thinking ability + strong consulting aptitude.

- Eye for design and colours + exposure to contemporary graphic design.

- Excellent command over English language. A very high level proficiency in written and spoken English is an absolute must.

- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage businesses at scale and people employed therein.

- Ability to communicate with, build relationships with and influence senior Industry leaders and stake holders.
