Summary of the Overall Job:  - To be responsible for directing and controlling the supply chain function in order to deliver right quantity and quality of finished goods to the customers within cost and quality parameters.   Key Result Areas:  - Accurate forecast from all Markets  - Accurate production plan  - Procurement for all input materials within time, cost and policy  - Readiness for launch in new markets  - Target cost savings in purchase and logistics cost  - QUOTIF (Quality, On time, In full) targets for logistics   - Development of new vendors for critical items  - Maintaining prescribed quality standards in warehousing and transportation of products   - Inventories as per targets set at all warehouses and distribution points with specific emphasis for Russia LLC.  - Upgrading systems including ERP implementation to enable on line and real time availability of data to enable efficient and timely logistics support and material availability  - On time and accurate MIS for timely decisions  - Establishing Key Customer Interface  Key Functions / Responsibilities:  Demand Planning:  - To establish correct forecasting models and ensure demand planning is done for 12+24 months for all markets.   - To ensure quarterly forecast are prepared and changes in demands at market place are captured including projection for new launches.   - To ensure smooth coordination between Business Development and Markets to be able to capture fluctuation in demand.   - To ensure accurate rolling months quarterly plan is sent to PPC to accommodate changes in production accordingly.   Production Planning & Control:  - To ensure PPC prepares the rolling production plan as per guidelines from Demand Planning team.   - To ensure Material Requirement Plan (MRP) is prepared and sent to Purchase team within timelines.  - To ensure accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) is received from CQA on time to prepare accurate MRP and shared with Purchase team.   - To ensure by product, by line, by market, for PRC and for Technology Transfer scheduling is included in the plan and circulated to plant and purchase team in time.  - To oversee and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production plan and ensure variance is covered in the monthly target.  - To ensure plant and line utilization is optimized through efficient planning  Purchase - Input Materials And CAPEX:  - To define policies for sourcing and purchase management and set up policies on commercial terms with Finance.  - To identify, develop and maintain relationships with vendors and especially maintain relationships with vendors for all critical items.  - To ensure purchase plan is developed in line with the production plan and PRC requirements and maintain close relationships with internal customers to update the plan continuously  - To ensure all purchase all items including API, raw materials, packaging materials, in line with the plan requirements at the best possible price and commercial terms and in line with overall budget.  - To ensure that all processes for purchase and contracting are followed as per standards set.  - To initiate projects for cost savings.  - To regularly evaluate vendor performance on defined metrics like timely delivery, quality of products, cost etc. and take appropriate action  - To maintain a vendor database with updated information for easy retrieval   - To identify risks in terms of sources and delivery by supplier and take necessary steps to mitigate the risks.   - To ensure purchase for Capital goods and Services are done along with technical expertise of concerned functional heads at the best price and commercial terms.  - To oversee budgeting process for Purchase and review monthly MIS to ensure purchases are made within budget and timeline.   Logistics & Distribution:  - To ensure and oversee budgeting process for logistics and review monthly MIS to take corrective action.  - To develop the Logistics plan in line with the agreed product availability plan monthly and ensure it is cotinuously updated   - To monitor QUOTIF targets and achievement for both International and Provis logistics and take corrective action along with Head Logistics.   - To monitor cost of movement of goods and work with Head - Logistics to ensure cost reduction and freight management for timelines in delivery.  - To ensure alternate routings and alternate mode of transportation are developed for contingency delivery.  - To ensure all Inventories are monitored frequently for adequacy and ageing.  - To initiate and take action to liquidate ageing stocks in discussion with concerned functional heads ( COO and Finance)  - To ensure proper record keeping and reconciliation of physical and virtual Inventory frequently   - To review performance of third party logistics in case of Provis and take corrective action.  - To ensure special quality requirements for transportation of Finished Goods as specified by the Regulatory or CQA is adhered to.   Warehouse:  - To make arrangements for appropriate and adequate warehousing at planned locations  - To monitor costs and operations of warehouses regularly.  - To ensure Inhouse stores follows the processes defined and maintains accurate records of all incoming and outgoing material digitally. Ensure all physical and ERP stocks are reconciled. To ensure quarterly physical verification of stocks.  - To ensure all quality guideline (SOPs) with respect to stores, logistics and purchase are strictly adhered to.   Launch Management & Special Projects:  - To ensure launch of new markets and new products are planned appropriately in demand and production plans.   - To ensure optimized planning for movement of goods is done such that right inventory is available at all distribution points as per plan.   - To plan for any changes for market including name change or new business structure.   Talent Management:  - To regularly guide, coach and provide feedback to the team .  - Ensure bi-annual performance review is carried out on time and constructive feedback is given to every employee.   - To develop a high performing, well knit and highly motivated team   Education And Experience:  Education: MBA with Specialization in Supply Chain or Operations.   Experience: 15 + Years experience in handling Supply Chain preferably in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
