Position Description:
Temp Staff Manager: Responsible for setting up operations of interviewing, testing, and determining an applicant's suitability for placement at client locations as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients by providing excellent customer service. The Staffing Manager will partner with the management team to analyze staffing, organizational structures, production volume, responsibilities, and utilization trends in order to develop staffing guidelines for each facility. This person will work closely with the Operations Head to understand standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the firm. Success in the role will be defined on how this person achieves maximized efficiency in staffing each of the facilities. This includes reducing labor costs, minimizing contract labor utilization, and increasing facility production capacity while improving productivity
Manages the entire client staffing process onsite, including:
Create and manage the entire candidate screening process at the required temp staffing location
Present job offer, negotiate, close the transaction, and confirm start date and compensation; In cases where the candidate is not selected, tactfully informs candidate
Use a workforce planning/ timekeeping system to create and schedule balance of volume of sourced candidates from multiple agencies to the assessment centers
Manage the influx of candidates from the recruitment agencies in coordination with the business development team
Create a client servicing operations process; understand the macro and micro details of the JAF and be a point of contact for the client
Coordinate with Business Development team to create seamless sourcing structure at the required temp staffing location
Be on- call for any staffing issues that may come up during any time of the day/ evening, on the weekends, and on holidays
Assist in maintaining internal workforce data and reports, including: productivity, employee hours/ overtime, and contract labor tracking and monitoring
Managing staff absences to ensure that all engagements are staffed as required
Design a seamless system to track churn rate on the project site and ensure a pipeline of replacements according Aasaanjobs standards and negotiated contract with the client
Manage and coordinate Legal and Payroll operations and process, including
Lead and manage the local legal operations; coordinate with law firm to provide any assistance with procurement of licenses
Establish a grievance cell for employees on client's payroll; Handle any disputes that may arise with the client or employee or both, in coordination with our legal firm
Oversee payroll management team to make sure that we comply with all statutory compliances (PF, ESIC, LWF etc.)
Contribution to continuous improvement of processes, procedures and systems to ensure payroll systems remain fully operational at key processing and reporting times
Maintain up-to-date contracts with all temporary labor placement companies, and maintain current list of negotiated rates
Has to represent the firm in local tribunals if need be, and also act as a witness as and when required
Manage Sales meetings as and when required, including
Increase business in assigned territory by developing new customers as well as increasing business within existing accounts by identifying opportunities for other service lines and ensuring that the appropriate people are informed
Attends open houses, job fairs, trade shows and networking events to increase client and employee base
Support business by meeting and exceeding required goals in assigned territory
Managing employee performance and Customer Satisfaction, including:
Gathering feedback on employee performance and customer satisfaction
Managing on-going customer satisfaction, checking with client and family members for compatibility and compliance with Aasaanjobs standards
Completing employee performance reviews at regular intervals and managing staff recognition and discipline
Requirements
Must be dependable, flexible, and exhibit outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Possess good planning and organization skills
2 to 3 years of experience in temporary staffing, corporate recruiting, operations, or management.
Knowledgeable in sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, job analysis and relationship management.
Have a basic understanding of legal limitations when it comes to sourcing and hiring, wage and salary trends, and direction of the chosen industry
Must be extremely adaptable and flexible and show the ability to manage competing demands, accurately prioritize as needs shift, and follow up on unfinished items.
Must be able to positively accept criticism and constructive feedback, and learn from mistakes.
Possess excellent cold-calling skills, with the ability to engage, negotiate and close an industry professional.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to command the attention and respect of senior level leaders.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Possess initiative to perform responsibilities independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Must have the ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
Must possess the initiative to carry out tasks timely and accurately, be able to problem-solve and anticipate required task
Should be willing to travel, and stay at remote project sites according to the project requirement
