The Senior Research Analyst will leverage his/her research expertise and knowledge of the industry to support the Private Equity Practice's development on a global scale. This includes both execution of the Practice's knowledge strategy and supporting client assignments.

Key responsibilities and accountability

Knowledge Management:

- Partner with the Global Private Equity Practice Specialist on key knowledge-building initiatives and information-sharing activities to support the growth of the Global Private Equity Practice.

- Develop specialist knowledge and insights into the trends, strategies and characteristics of the industry, leading firms, and portfolio companies to advise colleagues on business development and assignment execution.

- Network and build relationships with colleagues in the Private Equity Practice globally, downloading their knowledge and synthesizing the learning.

- Monitor and share client-specific updates with key account teams comprising consultants and researchers.

- Alert relevant colleagues of key people moves and market developments, highlighting potential business development opportunities.

- Leverage expertise to help develop winning business development pitches.

- Lead human capital-focused research projects to augment assignment execution capabilities.

- Execute or direct the analysis of external investment activity, key account performance, regional and office performance, and other data sets to inform business development and global priorities.

Assignment Research:

- Leverage individual and Firm knowledge to advise on the search strategy at the beginning of the search process.

- Identify and prioritize target companies through market research.

- Build in-depth knowledge of key markets and talent pools, and identify candidates by using internal and external sources.

- Verify and update candidate details in the internal database using external data sources.

- Create supporting materials, such as client-ready candidate profiles and progress reports.

- Ensure the real-time capture of insights on candidates and companies in the Firm's proprietary database throughout the course of an assignment.
