Senior Manager - Procurement - Solar/Energy

Description/Job purpose:

A result oriented professional experience in Power (- Renewable energy), plays key roles in Planning, Sourcing, Contracts & Procurement, Vendor Management and Supply Chain Management. Adept in implementing cost reduction measures to achieve saving in Terms of material procurement & logistics cost. Proficient in formulating Sourcing Strategies, Contract Management and Analytical Assessment. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills with proven Track record of utilizing process oriented approach towards accomplishment of cost, profit & organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing & Procurement:

- Budgeting and planning for sourcing of materials for Solar EPC Projects.

- Procurement of Solar Modules, Inverters, Structures, Hardware, Electrical & Switchgear Items

- Supervising overall procurement activities, implementing effective techniques to bring efficiency in operations, improve quality standards & achieve maximum cost savings.

- Developing and implementing key procurement strategies and ensuring that strategies are aligned with organizational objectives

2. Vendor Development:

- Identifying and developing potential vendors / suppliers for achieving cost effective purchases of materials

- Negotiate suppliers- in order to get the best deal in Technical and Commercial

- Achieving reduction in prices and timely delivery.

- Developing potential vendors for achieving cost effective purchases of materials;

- Reduction in prices & timely delivery.

- Implementing Supplier contract for Quality, Cost, Timely Delivery, and Development

3. Logistic Management:

- Resourceful in developing longterm partnerships with Domestic Logistic Service provider, freight forwarders (for logistics support), C&F Agents to have optimum material movement in terms of freight cost & delivery time.

- Ensure timely meeting of CRDD deadlines through improved lead times at end customer level.

4. Team Management

- Leading, mentoring & monitoring the performance of the team to ensure efficiency in process operation

- Meeting of individual & group targets. Ensuring that teams adhere to all the quality tool & procedures

- Resolving interpersonal issues & working towards a harmonious work environment

Requirement

- Minimum: Graduate in any discipline and PGDM/MBA

- Minimum 15 years of experience in Procurement with 5 years relevant experience in solar
